FIVE

" I don't feel right leaving knowing that you're still recovering " Osari told Beretta as she spoke to him over the phone .

" Dont take this the wrong way but it ain't shit you can do for me , Ri . It ain't like you can lay up in my cell and take care of me changing my bandage and shit , go out of town and enjoy yourself i'll be here when you get back " He told her.

Beretta loved how much Osari loved him and the fact that she was willing to do his bid with him meant the world to him but sometimes he felt like her holding him down in jail was holding her back from enjoying her life .

She was always worried about him and him getting shanked didn't make it any better . He kept telling her that he was good but he knew she wasn't buying it .

" I'm just worried, not only about leaving you . I haven't heard back from Deputy Harris yet about what Devin said in those phone calls. What if I leave town and come back to people I care about dead ? " She questioned .

" Look , you gotta stop thinking like that , always expecting the worst . You be driving yourself crazy just relax " He said.

" It's hard to relax when I have different scenarios of what could happen running through my head " She said .

That was her main problem, she was an over thinker and she would over think everything .

" You gonna drive yourself crazy doing that . Just find something else to occupy your time like packing to go on the trip " He said still trying to encourage her to go .

Cash's birthday was coming up and she had invited Osari , Zakeyah, and Octavia to come . Cash and Osari still talked over the phone a lot and she saw Octavia often because she liked to go to Miami to party .

" I don't know about going forreal . I think everybody gonna be all coupled up and then there's me " She said.

" Bring Ohana or Kendall or somebody. I want you to go out of town on a getaway and enjoy yourself . When I talked to my mama earlier she already expecting to have the kids "

" Damn you not gonna miss me ? You know the trip is gonna be for two weeks "

" I always miss you , everyday but I don't want you thinking you can't live your life and enjoy yourself cause i'm in here . All you do is work , go to school and visit me it's more to life than that beautiful "

" I don't really be in the mood to do anything else and everybody gets mad at me for that . That's another reason why Octavia said she's mad because she claims I always come visit you and never want to do anything to her but I just be so drained all the time . Between school , the club , the drug business and all the extracurriculars the kids have I be tired. "

Beretta sighed. He hated that he wasn't there to take some of the pressure off her . " That's why you need to go on this trip . You need a break " Beretta said .

Osari listened to the operator tell them that they had one minute remaining. Beretta had a cell phone in jail but he still used the jail phones to make calls so it wouldn't look suspicious to the other inmates and the workers that weren't on Osari's payroll .

" I'll go if I can find someone to come with me so I won't be looking stupid and alone . I love you "

" I love you too baby .. tell the boys i'll call them later on " He said.

" Ok " She said before hanging up the phone.  She cut her car on because she had just gotten out of school when he had called but instead of trying to drive and talk she decided to just stay parked and talk to him .
