After bringing in Loki, the Avengers sat at a large round table back on the bridge. Watching a menagerie of screens, one of which had Loki in his cell. Speaking with Fury.
Elena had decided to sit next to Natasha, and Bruce lingered behind them.
Apart from Steve, Natasha was the most familiar person in the room to her. And she was a little nervous to go near Steve for the moment.
Guilt gnawing away at her.. Elena wanted to say something, to ask if he remembered her. But she'd have to show her face... reveal her voice and name. That wasn't an option... there were many people she wanted off her scent. The Red Room her main concern, she felt their noses sniffing to close sometimes. Without her mask or suit, she felt like they had eyes on her. That they were watching from the shadows... ready to claim their trusty murderer back. To put her back in her little cage where she would lose her free will once more.
Elena couldn't bounce back a second time. Once was enough.
Elena was doodling in her little notebook, her old pencil scribbling absentmindedly. It was mostly just scribbles and the odd picture that was drawn.
Natasha glanced over every once in a while, smirking a little when she saw a new doodle pop up. She tilted her head, trying not to be too obvious about her peeking.
It was of a woman, Natasha saw she had dark hair and bright eyes. No colour could be assumed since it was just graphite. Beneath the picture was 2 words scribbled out messily, like it was written without thought.
'Dorothy Underwood.'
Natasha grinned to herself, nudging Elena in a playful manner. "Who's Dorothy, huh?" She teased gently, Elena pulled the notebook further away from Natasha and snapped the book shut. Causing Natasha to jump slightly at the aggressive action.
Elena stared Natasha dead in the eye as she slammed the book, but refrained from putting it away in case her input was needed in the event that she couldn't just nod, shrug or shake her head.
Natasha's brow furrowed, her mouth opened to apologise but Fury began speaking to Loki. His voice taking over and wrangling everyone's attention.
"In case it's unclear, if you try to escape." Fury began, approaching the controls console by Loki's cell. "If you so much as scratch that glass..." Fury pressed a button, a hatch opening beneath the cell. It was a long fall, and the wind blew around the room."It's thirty thousand feet straight down in a steel trap. You get how that works?" Fury questioned with a threading glare, closing the hatch once again.
"Ant. Boot." He added, gesturing to Loki and then the button for the hatch.
Loki chuckled lightly, raising his arms in defence. 'It's an impressive cage." He replied smugly. "Not built, I think, for me."
