The man stepped closer, his grin widening. "Just someone who's been watching you for a while. You've been quite the thorn in some powerful sides."
Peti tightened his grip on the sandwich, ready for anything. "What do you want?"
The man chuckled, the sound sending chills down Peti's spine. "Let's just say I'm here to deliver a message. Your little victory today won't go unnoticed. There are bigger threats out there, and they're coming for you."
Peti's heart raced as the mysterious figure stepped closer. Suddenly, the man threw back his head and laughed, the sinister tone vanishing.
"I'm messing with you!" the man said, his voice light and playful now. "Name's Demashi. I just wanted to see if you'd join me for a little late-night gambling."
Peti blinked, taken aback by the sudden change in demeanor. "Gambling?" he repeated, still holding the sandwich.
"Yeah," Demashi grinned, his golden teeth flashing. "It gets boring around here at night, and I figured you might be up for a little fun. What do you say?"
Peti relaxed slightly, though he kept his guard up. "Why should I trust you?" he asked, eyeing Demashi warily.
Demashi shrugged. "You don't have to. But if you want a break from all the heroics, come on down to the rec room. A few of us like to play cards when things are quiet."
Peti considered for a moment, then decided he could use a distraction. Besides, he could always keep an eye on this new character. "Alright, I'll check it out. But no funny business."
Demashi laughed again, backing away towards the door. "Fair enough. See you there, hero." With that, he disappeared into the corridor.
Peti shook his head, took a bite of his sandwich, and made his way to the rec room. If nothing else, it would be interesting to see what kind of games this Demashi had in mind.
The next day, Peti met up with Demashi as planned. They rendezvoused in a quieter corner of the headquarters, away from the usual bustle of activity."Hey, man," Demashi greeted Peti with a wide grin. "I don't want you to look poor in the casino, so I got you something." He handed over a bundle of finely crafted items.
Peti carefully unwrapped the package, revealing a stunning ensemble: a walking stick made of golden cobra skin, intricately detailed with markings that echoed his own cobra-snake abilities.
Next, there was a tailored jacket and pants, complete with a stylish side bag. Peti marveled at the craftsmanship, noting how each piece seemed to reflect his unique powers. But what caught his eye the most was a pair of sunglasses. They were unlike anything he had seen before - golden frames shaped like a cobra coiled around a stick, its fangs seemingly biting into the lenses.
Etched in the center was the name "Peti.""Wow," Peti exclaimed, genuinely touched by the gesture. "This is... incredible, Demashi. Thanks Nig- Ninja"
Demashi chuckled, scratching the back of his head. "I figured you might appreciate something flashy. Plus, it suits your style."
Peti nodded, trying on the sunglasses and adjusting them. They fit perfectly, and he couldn't deny how cool they made him feel. "I really appreciate this, but I could buy myself too".
""Consider it a token of our friendship," Demashi replied with a grin.
After Peti changed into the new outfit Demashi had provided, he asked curiously, "What's your power?"
Demashi looked at him with a mischievous grin. "The power of luck and a little bit of cheating," he replied nonchalantly.
Peti nodded thoughtfully. "Let's use your powers then. And my reality warping to cheat."
