You, Y/N L/N, were a young adult- Just moved out and planning to attend college, which one? You weren't sure yet. You weren't really sure about anything. With your current condition, just barely getting by, constantly being forced to be the 'responsible' one, never having time to yourself- God it was difficult! Not to mention you lived in a not so safe town, right next to the fucking 'Slender woods'.

"Jeez.. What do I do now?.." You sighed to yourself, tossing and turning in bed, your job was practically as stable as you were mentally, what were you going to do if you were fired!? Or what if you got rejected from the college's you didn't even apply for yet!? And those mysterious murders and disappearances- That could be you if you weren't careful!!

Great. Now that you were all worked up you felt the compulsive urge to get up and get it out of your system. Thankfully, you had your cleaning supplies!! You hopped out of bed and grabbed your broom, somewhat soothed as you cleaned away the imperfections from your actually quite spacious apartment. Completely unaware of the eyes watching you.

"Hmm.. So this is the guy Slenderman was talking about?" Masky muttered, "Looks pretty.. Weak, pfft." he chuckled, his gaze still locked on your unaware form, Kate shushed him, elbowing Masky's side, "Can it, Masky. Looks are deceiving.", "Most times." Masky 'corrected'. Just then Jeff stumbled out of the bushes, "Fuck are you guys talking about?" he whisper screamed, clumsily making a lot of noise.

At the abundance of sudden loud noises, you whipped your head to the window, but Kate and Masky ducked quickly just before you looked, Jeff though, was not so lucky- or quick. You yelped at seeing the ghostly white man, this was the killer that everyone was talking about!! Jeff the killer. You dropped your broom and screamed, not wanting to become a victim, you immediately bolted, ran through the halls- Why. Why you!? Why not your parents!? Your mind was racing as you slammed your door, locking it quickly, and dashed for your phone, dialing 911 with the urgency of someone who's life was in danger.

Your breathe was shallow, in the moments you waited for someone to pick up, you... didn't hear anything? You lowered the phone, no, this had to be some trick, maybe it was just your imagination!! Or a kid playing some sick joke!! No way it was actually Jeff. "911, what is your emergency?" The operator suddenly snapped you back to reality, you felt a bit silly now, blushing but still stuttering out, "I-I think I saw Jeff the killer outside my window.." you paused, sighing deeply, "I know it's probably s-some kid. You don't have to come.."

At this point you regretted even calling, "Well the police and local law enforcement are here to protect you, but if you insist, call back if you need anything!!" she responded cheerfully, though it made you feel more guilty. She hung up on you and left you questioning yourself.

"Jefferey!!" Slenderman boomed, making Jeff roll his eyes, "Chill, the cops didn't even show up!!" Jeff tried to defend himself, though Slender didn't relent much in his stern tone, "Listen. We cannot be exposed. No matter the costs. Especially when a potential proxy is involved, Y/N L/N could be a valuable asset to us, and with your recklessness, they might not let their guard down." he explained, his flattened eye socket twitching with annoyance.

Just then, Splendor entered the office, his usual happy smile replaced with a worried frown, "Slender!! Are the rumors true?" Jeff scoffed, rolling his eyes, and Slender sighed deeply, "Yes. They are." Slender pinched the bridge of his 'nose'. "But you promised!! And with someone so young? How could you!! Even Trender agrees it's cruel!!" Splendor pleaded, outstretching his arms dramatically, "It's not 'cruel', it's called seeking out opportunities." he tried to excuse his actions.

"You told me you wouldn't hurt anyone else. Is that poor soul, Y/N was it? Even willing to become another one of your mindless murder machines?" He stuttered, Splendor had always been so emotional- so empathetic, so this was a relatively common occurrence when word spread of a new proxy.

After a bit more tidying up, you eventually laid back in your bed, exhausted from the stressful day, sighing deeply you tossed and turned a bit before settling down in a comfy position, humming in satisfaction. Though as you were drifting off to sleep, you were still uncertain- Who was it outside your window?
