The Jeep coming to a halt woke you up from your nap, and you saw that you had reached your apartment building.
"How'd you know I lived here?" you yawned as you rubbed your eyes.
"Your weirdo friend," he answered as he held up his phone, showing you where she sent him the location.
"Fox girl?..." You read the texts and saw two missed video calls, "You text like a creep..." you told him after you were finished reading. You didn't know whether to laugh or worry for Miya. "Wait, why didn't you just ask me?" you handed him back his phone.
"You were asleep-"
"And you thought to yourself, 'She's sleeping so peacefully... She's been through so much... I'll let her rest,' did you? Awww," you interrupted, mimicking his voice very inaccurately as you both got out of his vehicle.
"No. I happen to like my peace, and I was finally getting some, so I decided to keep it." He smirked. "I'll pick you up at 6 after my patrol. If you're not ready when I get here, I'm leaving your ass," he said as he got back into his vehicle and shut the door.
"Okay," you chirped as you followed him to the driver's side of the vehicle. "What? No kiss bye-bye? Honey~" you teased as he started the engine and drove off.

*Knock, knock, knock.*
The sound of your knocking echoed throughout the hallway as you waited for Miya to open the door.
No one answered.
*Knock, knock, knock, knock.*
Still no answer...
