I didn't plan to talk to Tejasswi that way. She was already vulnerable. But that was the only way to show the classmates that we didn't have anything so they kept quiet for sometime. I hated how the boys asked me if I had paid her.

There was no sense of limit I could see these people could go to, and I had to stop it until tomorrow. I had a chat with our class advisor who supported me and would get the recording of the class in which Rudra had tried forcing Tejasswi. She said she trusted Tejasswi and would help me.

I quickly reached home and freshened up. I was going to meet Tejasswi, I don't know if it was safe or not, but I had seen her face when I said not to come around to her. She didn't look fine at all, and she definitely wasn't strong enough to not overthink it.

I went outside to find mom coming inside. "Hey mom."

"Ray, baby where are you going?" She asked as I wore my shoes. "I am going to meet Tejasswi, I need some notes from the week."

"It has been a long time since I met her mother though." She came and stood in front of me. Before she could try ruffling my hair, I shifted myself back. "Start smiling Ray!"

"How does it help?" I shrugged before running out.

Tejasswi's mom and my mom were classmates and best friends. She had met my mom many times when she attended the functions they had gone to. I had met her parents once or twice because I didn't go to the functions. I hated socializing.

Maybe I was also anxious to be around creatures.

I quickly sat on my bike and drove to her house. There was no vehicle outside the house, so her father was not home. I knocked at the door but there was no answer.

I rang the doorbell but no answer again. I tried knocking the door strongly when it opened. I opened the gate and I saw Tejasswi and suddenly felt all the air pulled out of my lungs.

I ran towards her as her wrist bled and she cried hysterically. "Tejasswi!" I shouted as she saw me. "Don't, don't come near me!" She screamed, and I realized it was a panic attack.

I was thanking god that both of my parents were doctors. I quickly pulled her hand towards me and sighed seeing the wrist, she hadn't cut the nerve. "What are you trying to do?"

"END MY LIFE. MY HEART HAS NEVER BEEN BROKEN THIS MUCH. MY LIFE HAS NEVER BEEN THIS FUCKED UP!" She screamed and cried. Something inside me broke, and I felt like drowning myself.

"When you said I had to be strong, I promise I tried. But I can't- I just can't-" Her breaths turned shallow and I rubbed her back. She started breathing harder and grabbed the couch pillow tightly. Her knuckles turned white as she tried scratching her neck.

It was an anxiety attack.

I quickly pulled her hands away from her. "Tejasswi! Tejasswi you're fine. You're not anything bad. You're the best, calm down." I tried soothing her. Her body shivered, her head fell back as she breathed harder. I kept holding her until her breaths turned normal. She was tired and fell unconscious. I quickly got the first aid box and cleaned her wrist wound.

There was nobody at her house, I wonder how she managed the whole week. I went to the kitchen and made some soup for her and dialed mom. "Mom, I forgot the name of the medicine for high fever, can you help?"

"Is Tejasswi okay?" She asked, concerned. "Tejasswi's fine, she just had fever,"

"Where's Shagun?" She asked again. "I don't know, Tejasswi was not good when I reached here." I informed her and she hummed. "I'll ask her and I'll be there in fifteen minutes with your dad."

"Alright." Dad was the best person Tejasswi would need right now. A psychologist would understand her medical conditions better. I checked her temperature and waited for my parents to arrive.

"Uhm-" I heard a groan and ran outside, taking the soup along with me. She got up and glanced at me. I nodded at her, giving her the soup. "I- thank you Karan-" She whispered, stammering. "I told you to be strong, Tejasswi."

"I am-" She looked down at her lap as she played with her fingers. "I am sorry," I heard the bell ring and opened the door. Mom and dad rushed inside and mom went to her. "Tejasswi, bacche!"

Dad noticed the band on her wrist and looked at me. He had already realized, and I blinked to confirm. "Karan, the soup," I nodded and passed the soup to my mom who fed Tejasswi. "Shagun and everyone else are at her grandparent's house. I didn't tell her because I didn't want her to worry."

"Thank you aunty," She whispered quickly. "Dad, mom, there's something you need to know."

"Karan-" I looked at Tejasswi who shook her head. "We'll need them tomorrow. I have got the footage of the class, you'll be proven innocent tomorrow. And then I'll get Rudra expelled from the college. For that, when they need a guardian signature, they'll do it." I explained to her and she nodded.

"I don't want my parents to know-" She looked at my parents and they blinked at her assuringly. I sighed. She will be fine tomorrow.

I explained what happened to my parents and they nodded. "Tejasswi, you had an anxiety attack and I want you to tell me every time you feel like one, okay?" Dad instructed and she nodded. "Trust me, everything will be our secret." Dad added and patted her head, she smiled softly. A genuine smile, changes, okay. I kept the empty bowl in the kitchen and came outside to find Tejasswi sleeping on my mom's lap.

"I'll stay here with her. You both can go." Mom declared and I nodded. Dad and I were leaving when I checked at her once, sleeping peacefully. I was the only hope she had, and I wasn't going to ruin it.

What'll happen next? Will they be able to defeat Rudra?

Guess.
