Mia's POV:
I wake up and look at the clock, I see that it is only 6:30. I wish I could sleep in longer, but my body won't do that. I groan and get out of bed, but fall to the floor forgetting about my foot. I wince in pain, and try to stand up.
I grab ahold of my nightstand and try to stand up again. But I fall to the floor for the third time, I sit there contemplating my life for about five minutes.
I then think of my options. I could crawl, but my elbow is severely dislocated and my knee is still bruised from a previous beating. I could call one of my brothers for help, but then again it is literally 6:30 in the morning.
I try one more time to stand up but feel sharp pain in my shoulder. I fall to the ground and wince cause of the bruise on my back. I'm so fucking done, at this point at least every part of my body has some type of injury.
I lift my shirt and look at my ribs, I feel a tear fall down my cheek just looking at the horrific things my body has been through.
I sit there a little longer until I hear a faint knock on my door and someone walking up the stairs.
I see my dad coming up the stairs, he looks at me and smiles but then frowns seeing me on the floor. I give him a nervous smile, and he chuckles.
"Sweetheart, what are you doing on the floor?" My dad asks walking over to me and kneeling down.
"Ummm.... I was trying to get out of bed, but forgot about my foot. I tried to get up multiple times, but it didn't work so I was just sitting here," I say nervously.
"Why didn't you call one of us?" my dad asks with a frown.
"It was only 6:30 in the morning I didn't want to wake any of you," I say with a small smile on. His eyes soften and he gives me a smile in return.
"You can always call one of us for help, any time of the day. Whether it is 2:00 in the morning or 6:00 at night, we will always help you. Understand?" my dad says looking at me sternly. I nod and mutter a yes out.
He leans down and picks me up bridal style. He walks to the bathroom and sets me down gently on the counter. I frown looking down at my foot, for some reason it hurts more than yesterday after the pool. I was able to limp yesterday at least, but now I can't even apply a little bit of pressure to it. Dad notices me frowning.
"What's wrong tesoro?" He asks. I look up at him and see concern in his eyes.
"It's nothing, I am just confused, because I was able to limp yesterday but now it hurts with even the slightest pressure," I say looking at my foot while talking.
"I will have Gio check it out, but your brothers and I don't mind carrying you. In fact, I think the boys argue over who gets to carry you," my dad says laughing. I giggle and smile at him.
"Well, you get dressed, and shower or whatever you need to do. And I will be back in fifteen minutes to carry you downstairs for breakfast. The younger ones won't be there yet. Since it is summer, they like to sleep in," my dad says softly. I smile and nod.
He walks out leaving me in the bathroom. I hop in the shower, and lean against the wall since I am standing on one foot. I wash my hair and shave. I limp out of the shower.
I don't even bother looking in the mirror, I act like my ribs are healing and I will be better someday, but deep down I know it's not true. My life is far from a fairytale or Wattpad story.
I put on a sports bra and then put a zip up jacket on top. I wear cute white jeans, with pinkish Nikes. I spray some perfume, and put a little bit of mascara on. I look at the clock and see it has been seventeen minutes.
