~Finn~"S-sorry! Sorry!" I yell out while trying to cover my eyes and leave, slamming half my body into the door frame on the way out.
Shit I didn't expect her to be half naked when I went to ask if she was okay or needed anything. I should have realized when I heard water running.
But bloody fucking hell was she hot.
I lean against the wall across from her door, trying to wrap my head around exactly what just happened, what I just saw.
Was her body covered in...bruises?
Just what exactly happened to her before she came here? She was to be delivered unharmed, that's what that twat O'Fallon said that night.
Rubbing my temples I make my way down to the living room where Myles is still typing away on his damn laptop. Always working, always busy.
"Do you ever stop?" I say while plopping down onto the sofa.
"Some of us have jobs and work to do." He glances at me briefly.
"I do work. Whenever you lot need something cracked, hacked or tracked...I'm the guy." I give a smirk.
"Who are you, Dr. Seuss? Anyway why are you back down here? I thought you were checking on the asset."
"She's a human being, Myles...stop calling her an asset." I roll my eyes and lay my head back on the cushions.
"A human that cost us five billion. What was Sebastian thinking? She cost us Liverpool. Now that bellend O'Fallon has control over it and is taking shipments there." Still typing away, his voice deadpan.
"Yeah okay right but that's not her fault. When I went up there...she was..." I trail off.
My lack of continuance seems to finally catch his attention because he looks up and shuts his laptop. He stares at me and I know he's waiting for me to go on.
I clear my throat. "She was getting undressed and..."
"Oh Finn don't start with that...you're always too horny and I don't want to hear—"
"No not that! I mean yeah she was proper fit but like...she was covered in some of the worst bruises I've seen. Looked like she had the shit beat out of her."
At that his expression hardens and he gets up from the sofa, pulling out his phone while he goes to the back garden.
I sigh and groan while staring up at the ceiling.
To him she's just an asset and the night the bid went down he was the most furious out of us all because the cost would mean more work for him.
It's not our fault he chose to deal with the finances and got a fancy degree and everything for it too.
I stay on the sofa for a while in hopes he will return but when he doesn't I figure he's gone off riding again. His bike is what he uses to clear his head, always has.
Pulling myself from the sofa, I go to the kitchen and glance out the window, his bike is gone so yeah I was clearly right.
I can't stop thinking about Aisling...er well Ash.
