Criminally Mine

"Another murder took place last night at midnight....as all the ones that took place before in this serial killing ...he was also graduated from Seoul University...reports say that-" these words were ringing in my head
"Senior, senior...are you listening" Jaeyeol, my junior was waving his hand infront of me.
"Huh, what, yes I am listening" I said flustered as I zoned out in the middle of the discussion with my team.
"Okay then tell me what was I saying just 2 mins ago regarding the weapon used in the murder" my senior and a close freind, Hwansik said me while narrowing his eyebrows infront of me .
"Uhm...that was I guess...okay I am sorry I zoned out " I accepted my mistake as I really couldn't focus on what everyone was saying.
"Y/n, you are taking alot of toll on yourself since this serial killing started" our team leader, Hyunbin said with concern laced in his voice
"It's not like that, you all are worrying without any reason I am fine" I tried to push away their worries by a slight smile.
"No y/n, we all are seeing it, now go home, eat dinner and rest. It's already past midnight." Leader instructed me and before I could say anything else.
"No questions girl...I will drop you off as driving is not okay for you when you are stressed " my colleague and best freind Jiwon pulled me by my arm , gathered my stuff and started dragging me out of the door.

"Have you listened to the other murder that happened" I saw the message my college freind, Minji texted me.
I just took a warm shower to calm myself down and was going to make some spearmint tea so I can sleep better.
But can I sleep while so many questions are going through my mind
"Why all of the murders are of people who went to same college as me"
"Even though they weren't in the same department, they are somewhat connected"
I was trying to think what could be the connection as a msg popped up on my phone.
I opened it and it was from Minji
Reading that message me eyes almost popped out and I ran to my balcony as I was felling suffocated in the room.
My heartbeat was going on a accelerated speed.
"Is it a guess or is it real" I asked myself
The message Minji wrote me was that
"Y/n I just realised, all the boys who were murdered either proposed you or were the ones who took part on that rumour and the all girls were the one who started that rumour about you and our Physical education teacher who once tried to blackmail and harrase you."
I started remembering thoserumours and whatever happened that time and immediately wanted to vomit.
I went to my wash basin and vomitted whatever Little amount I ate after coming home.
I washed my face and looked at myself in the mirror.
My eyes were looking dull after crying and lack of sleep.
My throat was itching so I went to kitchen and made myself a cup of tea.
That I sat on my bed and spread all the papers and documents related to the 12 murder chain that is happening since 3 months.
"I don't care if it takes my all time on upcoming days but I will solve this case" I thought in my brain and determined to give my 100 percent.
I analysed all of the 12 cases and found that what Minji is absolutely true but there was one more similarity among the murders except 2.
All of these tongues were cut off except the PE teacher and one boy Kwangmin, who was my close freind in the first year of college but when he once tried to touch me saying that he wanted freinds with benefits with me and I refused. So he slapped me and started cursing at me.
Luckily, one boy came in the class and saved me by punching him as I fainted.
I don't remember the name of the boy neither his face as he was wearing a cap.
But I woke up at my house and my mom said that she was called by the principal that I fainted due to dehydration  I got to know that my once freind started a rumour about me.
Tears started pouring out of my eyes but I wiped them.
"No y/n, now is not the right time to cry about past" you are a cop and your responsibility is to find the truth and catch the criminal.
So, the exception was that the killer cut off both hands of these 2 guys.
As a was dwelling deep in the case I found out many important points and wrote them in my diary.
I can't remember when sleep took the best of me and I dozed off but when I woke up it was already 7 in the morning.
I immediately went to take a shower and when I looked in the mirror I nearly screamed as a big dot of blue ink was under my jawline till my neck.
I must have slept keeping my head over my notepad and pen nd the ink leaked on my skin.
"Wow! what a nice way to start the day"I sighed and switched on the shower nd started to rub the ink from my skin.
