The air hung heavy with the scent of sting perfume from the females around there lockers, the black-haired girl glanced around, her eyes scanning the area as she posed the question to the two guys. Her expression was one of curiosity mixed with a touch of apprehension.
The first guy, also with black hair but slightly longer, his posture relaxed yet attentive. "Ava probably yeah," he replied, his tone thoughtful. "Amelia, pretty sure she moved away when we were kids."
The other guy, with a contemplative look, nodded in agreement. "Yeah, you're right," he affirmed, his voice soft but firm.
As the trio stood in the middle of the hallway, the girl with black hair adjusted her position, her gaze shifting as if hoping to catch a glimpse of someone familiar.
"Do you think Abigail is here?" she queried, her voice tinged with a hint of uncertainty, her eyes reflecting a mix of longing and doubt.
"I don't know" The black haired guy expressed his uncertainty with a hint of exasperation, accompanied by a nonverbal gesture as he rolled his eyes at the female standing beside him.
Gemma, her hazel eyes betraying a hint of frustration, peered at the guy with black hair. "Why you're being so difficult," she said, her tone a mix of annoyance and curiosity.
The guy's dark, intense eyes met hers as he sighed. "Gemma, I don't know why you're asking me," he replied, his voice tinged with a touch of exasperation.
"Well, because you know everything," Gemma retorted, raising her eyebrows in playful defiance as she shrugged her shoulders, a small smirk playing on her lips.
"Nope, that's usually Neisan and Ava," the guy with black hair responded, a wry smile gracing his lips as he leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms in playful self-assurance.
Neisan's frustration was evident as he glanced at Gemma and their friend, a mix of impatience and concern etched across his features. "Can we please just go to the office so we can get our stuff?" he asked, her tone carrying a tinge of urgency.
Gemma nodded in agreement, acknowledging the need to retrieve their belongings. "Yeah, let's go," she said, her voice calm but determined, while the guy with black hair, their friend, expressed his assent with a curt nod.
As they made their way from the entrance doors, a sense of purpose drove their steps. Neisan led the trio, his quick strides reflecting his eagerness to resolve the situation,
while Gemma walked alongside him, her eyes scanning their surroundings for any signs of trouble. The guy with black hair followed closely behind, his posture alert and ready for whatever lay ahead.
After Gemma and the boys eagerly received their schedules, they took a moment to compare classes before parting ways. Gemma adjusted her bag over her shoulder, her eyes scanning the crinkled paper in her hand as she navigated through the bustling hallway.
The boys, their voices rising with excitement, dispersed into the throng of students, each heading towards their respective classes.
As the bell echoed through the corridor, Gemma quickened her pace, determined not to be late for science class. The scent of fresh textbooks lingered in the air as she made her way through the labyrinthine halls, passing vibrant bulletin boards adorned with scientific phenomena and mathematical puzzles.
With each step, her anticipation mounted, her mind already buzzing with the promise of intriguing experiments and captivating lectures.
Gemma stood in the hallway, her brow furrowed in contemplation as she muttered to herself. Sunlight filtered through the tall windows, casting warm beams across the polished floor.
