Lavi groaned as he slowly woke up the next morning. The throbbing pain in his head was almost unbearable, and he felt like a heavy weight was pressing him into the bed. He started to open his eye, but immediately shut it tight as soon as the harsh morning light pierced through, intensifying the pain. He let out a pitiful moan, feeling utterly miserable.

Across the room, Allen glanced up from his desk and couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of Lavi's sorry state. "That, my friend, is what is known as a hangover," Allen said with a knowing smirk. Lavi groaned louder and grabbed the nearest pillow, hurling it at Allen. With his quick reflexes, Allen easily caught the pillow and tossed it back, hitting Lavi square on the back. Lavi didn't even flinch; he just lay there, face down, not wanting to move a muscle."It hurts... I thought we healed faster than this..." Lavi whined, his voice muffled by the mattress."We do. Alcohol is the only exception," Allen replied, still chuckling at his friend's plight. Lavi managed to lift his arm just enough to flip Allen off, earning another laugh from him before he turned back to his desk.

"No thanks. Though you almost did that with Tyki last night." Lavi suddenly sat up, wincing at the pain but too shocked to care."What?" he asked, his eye wide with alarm. Allen turned completely around in his chair to face Lavi."You left the party with Tyki. He's someone you need to be careful of," Allen said seriously."Oh. Is he one of us? And how did I get back?" Lavi asked, confusion and worry mingling in his voice."Yeah, he is. He's part of the Earl's family, like me. Kanda brought you back," Allen explained."Kanda did?" Lavi repeated in surprise. Allen nodded as he stood up, walked over to the mini fridge, and pulled out a bottle of water. He tossed it to Lavi, who caught it and immediately started drinking, hoping it would help with the hangover."If you want to know what you did, I'd go ask him," Allen suggested. Lavi sighed heavily, looking down at the floor.

"That's if he'll talk to me..." he muttered. Allen sighed too, shaking his head as he drank his own bottle of water. Lavi slowly got up, feeling every ache and pain, and changed out of his wrinkled clothes from the night before into something fresh."I didn't do anything stupid at the party, did I?" Lavi asked, turning to Allen with a hint of dread in his voice.

"Nope," Allen replied casually. Lavi sighed in relief, grabbed his bag, and left the room, still feeling the remnants of his hangover.Lavi sat in his classroom, waiting for everyone to arrive and the lesson to begin. Despite his condition, he had still managed to get there before everyone else. He sighed as he tried to piece together the fragmented memories of the previous night but came up empty. He was about to give up when Kanda finally walked in, followed by a few other students. Summoning his courage, Lavi reached out and grabbed Kanda's arm as he passed by.Kanda turned, his eyes flashing with irritation. "What?" he asked icily. Lavi felt a shiver run down his spine but forced himself to maintain eye contact."Thank you for bringing me back last night," Lavi said sincerely."Tch. Whatever, baka. I'm not saving you again," Kanda replied, yanking his arm free. Lavi nodded, undeterred.

"Will you tell me what happened after class?" he asked hopefully. Kanda rolled his eyes and muttered a noncommittal "maybe" before heading to his seat. Lavi allowed himself a small smile and turned back to the front of the class. As the lesson progressed, Lavi tried to focus, taking notes diligently, but his mind kept wandering back to the previous night. It was infuriating not being able to remember. When the class finally ended, Lavi packed up his things and waited by his desk for Kanda.Kanda sighed heavily as he walked towards the door, fully expecting Lavi to follow him. Outside the classroom, Lavi grabbed his arm again, pulling him to the side."Will you tell me? Please?" Lavi pleaded.

Kanda crossed his arms, his expression a mix of annoyance and reluctance. "Fine. I found you at Tyki's house, half-naked underneath him. And on the way home, you kept trying to touch yourself. Then you tried to touch me," Kanda replied flatly. Lavi's face turned crimson with embarrassment. "S-sorry..." he stammered, looking down at his feet. "Whatever. I'm not saving you again," Kanda said curtly, turning to walk away. He was still mad at Lavi for killing his parents, and now he was also furious about the incident with Tyki.

"I'm not going to admit that I was jealous, damn it..." Kanda muttered under his breath as he headed to his next class, leaving Lavi standing there, feeling a mix of shame and confusion.
