Y/N POV
Everything always goes good just before a disaster. I had always known this to be fact so why should I be surprised when everything goes wrong. The day had been going well. Suna had confessed his love to me and we kissed. Then when I went back to class there were no angry Miya brothers waiting for me. Even at afternoon practice the Miya twins didn’t go near me. I was even more surprised when Osamu and Atsumu left before I was done cleaning the gym. Kita and Suna both walked me home. It was all going great and I was riding a happy high but than I walked inside my house.
A home usually felt comforting to walk into after a long day but this time it felt off. It felt like I was in a stranger's home making me nervous. As if I touched something I would be scowled by the owners. I took my shoes off at the entryway switching to the pink slippers my mother had bought me.
My heart was pounding in my chest as I walked towards the kitchen. The house was dark as it was well into the night. The only light was from the entryway as I always left that light on. It felt like I was in a horror movie as I moved closer to the darkness. I was expecting a monster to jump out from the dark and attack me. As I reached the kitchen I felt like I was blind as my eyes had not adjusted to the dark. I slid my hand against the smooth as I fumbled for the light switch. There was a feeling of comfort as my hand came in contact with the plastic button that controlled the lights but I couldn’t help but think that I would see something awful once the light was on.
My eyes burnt a little as I switched the kitchen light on. I kept my eyes peeled open even though I wanted to blink. If there was something horrible in the kitchen I wanted to see it. My eyes roamed over the room checking each corner for the boogeyman. I knew it was there but there was nothing. The room was as I had left it that morning clean except for the few dirty dishes in the sink that I had used for my breakfast.
As a wave of relief rolled over me I let out a small laugh. I had acted like a child and that was just funny to me. There were no monsters, it had all just been in my head. I let out one more laugh as I turned to go up the stairs with more confidence now that there were no monsters waiting for me.
The laugh died in my throat as I turned around to see a figure standing behind me. The figure was taller than me as my head came to his chest. They were dressed all in black even though their face was covered in a black mask. What was most frightening was the black gloves they had on. That meant whatever they were here to do they weren’t leaving any fingerprints behind.
I went to scream but the intruder placed his gloved hand over my mouth. My scream came out muffled with no hope of anyone hearing it. The intruder slammed me into the nearby wall pinging me so I couldn’t move. They were proving how much stronger they were compared to me. I still try to fight. I landed punch after punch but none of them affected him enough to let me go. The only time hissed in pain was when I bit down on his hand. Afterwards they sent a hard slap across my face freezing me as a ringing sound through my skull. As I stood there frozen they took the opportunity to shove something sharp into the side of my neck. I flinched away but it was already too late. The drug was strong and everything started to fade. My vision went spotty and my body went limp against the intruder. They scope me up carrying me as if I was a princess. The last thing I saw was my front door and then everything went black.
