—-As the days turned into weeks, the weight of Fantasia's decision hung over them like a cloud. She didn't know whether to take this job opportunity or explore whatever this was with Taraji. So she decided to call Taraji up and told her to meet her at the park.
"Taraji," Fantasia began, her voice soft but resolute, "I've decided to take the job."
Taraji's heart clenched, but she forced a smile. "I figured you would. It's an amazing opportunity, and you deserve it."
Fantasia stopped walking and turned to face Taraji, taking her hands in hers. "I want you to know that this doesn't change how I feel about you. I care about you so much, and I want us to make this work, even if it means being apart for a while."
Taraji looked into Fantasia's eyes, seeing the sincerity and love there. "I care about you too, Fantasia. We'll find a way to make it work. Distance is just a number, right?"
Fantasia smiled, a tear slipping down her cheek. "Exactly. And we'll visit each other as often as we can. We'll call, text, video chat... whatever it takes."
They spent the rest of the evening walking along the beach, talking about their plans for the future. They made a list of all the places they wanted to visit together, the things they wanted to do, and the dreams they wanted to share.
As the night grew darker, they found a quiet spot to sit and watch the stars. Fantasia leaned her head on Taraji's shoulder, and they sat in comfortable silence, feeling the warmth of each other's presence.
"I'll miss you every day," Taraji whispered, her voice barely audible over the sound of the waves.
"I'll miss you too," Fantasia replied, her fingers intertwining with Taraji's. "But this isn't goodbye."
