bose's pov:
we binge watched the first season of dog judge, and then all of genuine moments. mika and miles' parents were asleep, and we were downstairs, on the floor, in the living room, with a bunch of blankets and pillows. (this is left to right) i was sitting next to mika, who was next to chapa, who was next to miles. miles and chapa were both asleep, but genuine moments was still playing.
"genuine moments" mika sang/whispered, i laughed quietly.
"that was a good episode," i said, "right? i think."
"exactly right, honey," mika said, taking a brownie.
i looked at mika, she looked so beautiful, like always. i didn't even realize i was staring.
"bose? boooose?" mika said, waving her hand in front of my face.
"hm? huh?" i said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"you were staring at me."
"oh, i was just thinking."
"oh." mika said.
this is my chance, i thought.
"mika-" "bose-" we said at the same time.
"yeah!" we said at the same time.
"i have something to tell you." i said.
"i have something to tell you, too" mika said.
"let's just say it at the same time." i said.
"ok." mika said, calmly.
"3," i said.
"2," mika said.
"1" we said at the same time.
"i like you." we both said.
"wait what?" i said.
"i said that i like you." mika said
"really?"
"yes, and i think you said-"
"i like you, too." i said, smiling. mika smiled back. we stared at each other for a long time, probably like 5-10 minutes. and i realized we were both leaning towards each other, i leaned in and kissed her, for about 10-20 seconds, until i heard chapa waking up. we both pulled back, and she smiled at me, then looked at chapa, then back at me.
she leaned towards me and whispered in my ear, "can this be our little secret for now?"
"yeah," i whispered back, as chapa sat up.
"what'd i miss?" chapa said, rubbing her eyes.
"just one or two or three episodes of genuine moments," mika said.
"oh." chapa said, laying back down. "i'm gonna go back to sleep, night."
"night." mika said.
