I shook my head, not liking the idea of giving that creature the magical energy he needed to take his true form. But I hated to admit, it was the quickest way to kill him, by letting him take his true form it would kill the host and thus force him to take a new one. I didn't know Akio's plan but I trusted her. Instantly the Order of Balance began to fire off their Exorcism-Spells at him, at the same time Irina opened up with her bow, and both Akio and Kordia let loose with their Destruction-Magic. I didn't question it, I simply sheathed both my swords and began to let loose with my Bale Fire.
"You're pathetic attacks will only feed me." Mortis called out, opening his leech like maw. "As for you Vampire. We have a score to settle!"
A colossal vortex opened up mid air, and instantly began to suck in the magic. With each spell he began to grow in size. After the first volley fired off he dived at me full force, roaring out in anger, paying very little mind to the others attacks which bounced harmlessly off his scales. As he dived towards me, I deployed my Shield. Just as I predicted he gripped my Clipeum in his mouth, clamping down on it hard. It survived for a few seconds before he fully absorbed its magic, growing a bit more. My Clipeum down he drove his tail forward, and I blocked it. The spines of it shattering against the hard metal. In one motion I threw the Assault Blade outwards, impacting him in what I assumed to be his nose, while at the same time I rolled out of the way of harm. Once there I fired off another burst of Bale Fire.
He cackled madly in response, opening his mouth once more and snuffing out the flames. As he did the spines on his tail regenerated, good to know. If we injured him it would delay his transformation. Which would buy Kenkyona time to do what ever he needed. Without even questioning it, I drew Absolia. I didn't bother with the Bale Fire, given that would only feed him more power, but knew that Dragon Scales although they made amazing armor against conventional attacks, were a form of protection spell. I quickly leapt into the air, driving Absolia around, and slicing a deep rent into the beasts side, before landing behind him.
"You insect!" Mortis hissed angrily, turning on me. "I will end you and that cursed sword."
I ignored his comment, he was an enemy to be slain nothing more. I felt sorry for the Host there was no doubt of that, but he was long gone. He went to dive at me once more, only to be knocked off balance by a blast of Destruction-Magic from Yuguchi's Industria. He growled in frustration, absorbing another volley from the Order and healing his injuries. When the next volley came he once more grew in size. He was massive now, large as a semi-truck, and almost to his full size.
"Do you know Akio's plan?" I asked Yuguchi.
"No but I trust her." I nodded and quickly looked over, the damned beast was making a beeline for Jasmine.
I sped over there quicker than anyone could see, and winced as his tail drove deep into my side. I fall to the floor, knowing I'd only have a few seconds before the poison made it impossible for me to move. I dropped Absolia and used Excelsior's Mercy to cure it before it came a problem. But the wound was deep as all hell. Jasmine looked at me.
"Sorry Kitten." She responded, beginning to heal me. "I've always wondered why aren't you immune to poison?"
"What do you mean?" I asked firing off another Bale Fire blast, which he quickly absorbed.
"Well the others Immunity's are all based around their Mercy why isn't yours?"
"To limit the amount of power a Wielder can have each of them only get a single immunity, with me it's immunity from Flames, as that is far more useful to my wielder, given they are the most offensive, than being immune from Poison." Excelsior called out.
