About 2 hours later I was decked out in a chest plate, shin guards, a shield, sword, and a helmet with a red feather plum on the top. I was on Annabeth's team, Percy was on the opposite team, and Grover wasn't playing. All in all, on the red team was Athena, Hermes, and the Ares cabins. And Poseidon, Apollo and Hephaestus (and Aphrodite was split between the two.)
"So... good luck... your gonna need it"
"I'd be rethinking that if I were you Percy." I said.
"Not a chance. Just face the facts... my teams better, and your gonna lose!" He replied.
"Think whatever you want, seaweed brain. But WE are gonna win. We have the god of war's children, the goddess of war strategy children, and god of thieves and transports children. That's a good team. Not Poseidon, Hephaestus and Apollo. God of horses, singing, and arts and crafts" I say with a smug smile.
"The way you said that makes us sound weak. How bout god of the sea, archery, and weaponry."
"No I like the other way better."
"Whatever."
"And the moody Percy's back!"
And all I got was a smile before Chiron stood up and said it was time.
"Campers, get on your marks because we are about to start or second capture the flag of this summer!"
"What?" I asked confused.
"We had already played capture the flag before you got here." Percy said, already figuring out why I was confused.
"Oh..ok."
"now, campers, since the blue team won last time, they will go hide the flag first and the red team will go after it. May the gods be in your favor." And with those words said the blue team cheered and ran into the forest, leaving me with Annabeth and my team.
After about twenty seconds Annabeth broke the silence.
"Okay guys, our job is offense. Do NOT kill or torture anyone. I'm talking to you Clarisse." She added, eyeing a big burly ares girl.
"We do not need a repeat of last time."
"Wait, what happened last time?"
"Clarisse here, had almost killed Percy last time, but he crawled to the water and we found out he's Poseidon's son, anyway... LETS GO!" She screamed, and ran into the forest, everyone else following close behind. Except me. I guess I should follow them..?
So I did but in a different direction they probably figured they would all charge there. So the best idea is to go the another way.
