*Your POV*
"I know...but he knows I'm serious this time, it's over." I said into my phone to my friend on the other line as I was walking to the diner. I was explaining to my friend Celeste how I caught my boyfriend Paul cheating on me for the second time. The first time I don't know why I forgave him I guess I really loved him but I can't keep letting myself get hurt like this.

"Okay well I'm just happy you finally dumped that jerk. Anyways call me when you get home I need to finish my homework" Celeste said on the other line. I hung up and continued walking to my favorite diner in town. As I was walking I noticed this black 67' Chevy Impala drive by me with two men sitting in the front. I got a glimpse of a dark brunette in the passenger and the driver had an almost blonde but brown hair and apparently no shame in checking out girls walking on the sidewalk. I rolled my eyes as I saw them pull in front of the diner.

I walked in and sat at the front counter and clacked my fingers on the red surface as I waited for one of my favorite servers, Glinda. She was this older woman about mid 40's with natural red hair and blue eyes with the sweetest smile in town. I smiled as she approached me and her eyes lit up as soon as she saw me.

"The regular?" The red haired lady questioned me as I nodded my head eagerly.

I heard the front door bell rings and in come the two men from the black impala. Now that I've got a chance to look at them I can get a better view of their features. The dark brunette was taller with tanner skin and these sweet puppy dog eyes and shaggy hair. The light brunette was a bit shorter but still tall with sharp features and these striking bright green eyes. I turned my head when I made eye contact with him because I didn't want him to think I was checking him out. He looks like those guys who would be on their high horses if they ever notice a girl checking them out. They walk over to the counter and sit two stools away from me. The light brunette sitting the nearest.

I smiled as Glinda walked over with my cherry milkshake and placed it right in front of me. I ate one cherry and took a sip then hummed in delight.

"You make the best shakes in the world" I complimented her like always.

"Well of course only for my best customer" she smiled and gave my free arm a little squeeze. Glinda has always been my favorite person in town she always treated everyone with kindness. She then moved over to the two men and flashed them her signature smile.

"And what can I get for you two boys" Glinda asked as she pulled out her notepad from her 50's themed apron.

"I'll get a coffee and a hamburger" the dark brunette said as he slid the menu towards Glinda and smiled back at her.

"And I'll get coffee, black. With a slice of one of those pies" the other man said as he pointed down the counter to the pies on display.

"Okay I'll be right back" Glinda said as she finished writing down their orders and took both of their menus going into the back.

I stared at the light brunettes side profile before he turned his head and smiled at me. I smiled back and then continued to look around the 50's themed diner as I sipped on my cherry shake.

"Hi there, im Dean" the light brunette smirked at me as a reached out his hand.

"I'm y/n" I took his hand firmly and shook it.

"Strong handshake you got there y/n" Dean smirked as he retreated his hand.

"Thank you, my dad said its always important to have a good handshake" I said while I swung my feet from the stool.

"Pretty girl like you don't need one" Dean said attempting to charm me but that went over my head. I dropped my smile and furrowed my brows after those words left his mouth.
