December 13, that was it. I was getting ready for the premiere of my second TV show.

I was standing in my room, my nerves on edge, trying to pull myself together for what felt like the biggest night of my life. It was the premiere of my second TV show, and this one was special—Percy Jackson and the Olympians. I was playing Lily Castellan, a role I had poured my heart and soul into, and tonight, the world would finally see it.

Around me, my room buzzed with activity as my siblings helped me prepare. My older brother, Jason, and my twin sister, Chloe, were both fussing over last-minute details. Chloe, ever the perfectionist, was leaning over Leah, my best friend, carefully smoothing a stray strand of her hair and ensuring her makeup was flawless. Leah had chosen an ethereal, flowing dress, and the soft, natural waves in her hair framed her face perfectly. She looked radiant, like she was already walking the red carpet.

Meanwhile, Allison, one of my closest friends from set, was sending a stream of texts and photos from her own preparations over at Dior's house. She was getting glammed up there and promised to wait for me at the entrance of the premiere. Her texts were a lifeline, grounding me amidst the growing chaos, and I clung to them as I finished getting ready.

In contrast to everyone else's glitzy outfits, I'd picked a classic, understated black dress. Elegant but simple, it felt true to who I was—a touch of glamour without screaming for attention. I glanced in the mirror, adjusting my dark hair as it fell over my shoulders, hoping that my minimalist look would make an impression in its own quiet way.

Downstairs, I could hear the comforting hum of my parents talking. Their voices drifted up as we rushed to pull ourselves together, filling the house with an almost tangible warmth. But even their calmness couldn't take away the pressure building inside me; the stakes were high, and the premiere felt both thrilling and terrifying. We were running late, and the frantic energy in the house had everyone moving twice as fast.

"Cora, have you seen my earrings ?" Chloe called out, rifling through the jewelry scattered across my dresser.

"No, but check that pile of clothes" I replied, pointing to the heap of dresses and accessories on my bed. Chloe dove into the pile, a look of intense concentration on her face.

In the hallway, Jason stood already dressed in a sharp suit, looking every bit the proud, teasing big brother. "Come on, ladies, we need to get a move on ! We can't have Lily Castellan showing up late to her own premiere" he quipped, his eyes glinting with amusement.

"Shut up" I shot back with a smirk, rolling my eyes but unable to hide my own excitement.

Leah spun in front of the mirror, her dress catching the light just right. "How do I look ?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"Like a star" I told her, grinning. I wanted to say more, to express how beautiful and confident she looked, but we were running out of time. "But seriously, we need to hurry."

With one last look in the mirror, I grabbed my clutch and took a deep, steadying breath, trying to calm the fluttering in my stomach. This was it. I was about to step into the spotlight as Lily Castellan, a character I had come to love, in a show that had once been my wildest dream.

We finally gathered our things and headed downstairs, where our parents were waiting by the door. Their faces lit up with pride as they took in our dressed-up appearances.

"You all look wonderful" my mom said, her voice thick with emotion as she took in each of us.

My dad checked his watch, raising an eyebrow. "We'd better head out if we want to make it on time" he urged, ushering us toward the door.

As we made our way to the car, I hugged Leah before she joined her parents in their own car, promising to meet me there. The drive to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where the premiere was being held, was filled with a mixture of anxious silence and bursts of laughter. Jason and Chloe did their best to lighten the mood, reminiscing about my childhood dream of being in a Percy Jackson adaptation. My dad chimed in, reminding me of the day my mom had bought me my first Percy Jackson book, and the way I'd devoured it, dreaming of someday being part of that magical world.

The city lights blurred past the window, a dazzling mix of colors that mirrored the chaos and excitement swirling within me.

When we finally arrived, the sight was beyond anything I'd imagined. The grand entrance to the Met was decked out in massive banners, spotlights, and shimmering decorations, transforming the museum into a mythical wonderland. Fans crowded along the red carpet, waving signs, calling our names, and reaching out with books and posters. Their excitement washed over me, electric and contagious, and I felt my nervousness soften into a deep gratitude.

Before the press could descend on us, we took a few moments to greet the fans, signing books, posing for quick selfies, and exchanging words of thanks. The impact of our show was suddenly so real; it was surreal to see how much it meant to people. My castmates joined me, and together we shared this brief, precious moment with the fans who had supported us from day one. Walker appeared beside me, flashing a warm smile as he signed a girl's book. The girl looked like she might faint when he handed it back to her, and we exchanged a smile at the pure joy on her face.

Then, it was time for the official photos. We gathered on the museum's iconic steps, each of us finding our places as the cameras began flashing in rapid succession. Walker sat with Aryan, Allison and Charlie on one side, while Leah, Dior, and Olivea stood beside me, all of us united in that moment. The photographers called out instructions, their voices a chorus of excitement, while the cameras captured every angle, every smile.

Overwhelmed by it all, I felt a reassuring hand on my shoulder. Jason was there, giving me a steady smile that reminded me of all the love and support that had gotten me here. Glancing around at my family, friends, and castmates, a surge of pride filled me. We had all worked so hard to bring this story to life, and tonight was our celebration.

As we walked into the museum, ready to watch our creation come to life on the big screen, I knew that tonight was a memory I'd hold onto forever. It was more than a premiere; it was the culmination of dreams, hard work, and unbreakable bonds. This was our night, and I was ready to embrace every second.
