Hey. My name is Brooklyn Gwen Mercurius. I know, strange.. You can thank my father for that. I was born in Blackpool, England on October 31st, also known as Halloween. I was placed in an adoption center soon after I was born. When I was just a few weeks old, these two women named Vicky and Vilvia adopted me. They always called me their little pumpkin (hence my birthdate) ever sense I've lived with them.
Vilvia was around the age of 30. She had long, wavy black hair. She had these glimmering golden eyes that would always shine in the moonlight. She was 5'10 with an hourglass figure. She was always very pale during the summer and winter to my surprise. She worked as a nurse in a near by hospital and was always fixing injuries that Vicky and I had.
Vicky, on the other hand, was just as beautiful as Vilvia. She had short, fluffy pink hair and she always smelt like roses. She had these outstanding pink eyes that would glimmer in the sunlight. She was 5'8 and also had an hourglass figure. I think she was part Italian based on her faint accent. She was a stay-at-home-mom to take care of me, but before I was in the picture she worked in a prison. She was also very pale, like Vilvia, but still really pretty. I noticed that both of them have a zombie-like appearance, but it didn't matter to me at the time. I still loved them with all of my little heart.
I don't think I'll have anyone else to care for me as much as these two
women have...When I was about 3 years old, we moved to New York. I loved it there because there's always so much snow and rain. One day, when me and my mothers were watching a movie, I asked them why they got married. Their response was "because they loved each other". I didn't really understand love at the time (I still don't), so I just pretended to understand.
We always tried to make every day the best day. Every Saturday, we would go see a movie or go to my favorite park in our little town (the park was at walking distance). And every Sunday, we'd always go to our favorite ice cream place. Vicky would always get mint chocolate chip, Vilvia would always get the chocolate and vanilla twist. And me, I always got some kind of Oreo ice cream. But little did I know that that was the last ice cream I'd share with the two people I loved...
On my 8th birthday, my mothers and I were at our favorite park to have a dinner picnic there. We were having fruits and veggies and sandwiches, cracking jokes and telling stories. I got up to go back to the house to use the bathroom. When I get in the bathroom, I hear these bloodcurdling, soul ripping screams. I nearly jumped out of my camouflaged pants and I raced outdoors to my mothers. When I finally get to them I'm left with a horrendous, sickening sight for an eight year old.
My mothers stomachs were carved open like a Jack-o-lantern but without the traditional face of one. Their leg and arm bones were protruding from their thin, smooth skin. Vilvia's hands were cut clean off, and Vicky's feet were also gone. Both of their heads had these circles and X's on them, and their eyes were gauged out of their sockets. And their cheeks.. They had this hair-raising, unnerving carved smile from ear to ear.
I was too shocked to do anything; I didn't cry, drop to my knees, scream at the sight of blood pouring out of their lifeless bodies... I just stood there, confused and shocked. I look around for anyone to help... But all I see is a hooded figure glaring me down from a distance. I glare back and it darts into the woods, trailing a hellish chuckle.
I'll never, ever, forget that chuckle...
That night, I went to spend the night at a friend of Vilvia's. Her name was Sunshine. I couldn't sleep was the problem. I just stared up at the ceiling and hugged my pillow that Vicky sewed for me. The next day I went to pack up my things to move in with Sunshine. I gathered every bit of clothing and memories I could in my room, then I went to my mother's room. I climbed up on there dresser and looked into the mirror. I stared at my complexion for a few seconds before smashing the mirror into millions of razor sharp shards. I then saw what I was looking for; a little safe in the wall. I turned the nob until I heard a "click" and I opened the little door. Inside, there was about $500,000 and my iPod and charger (I gotten it taken away for yelling at Vilvia). I stuffed them into my bag and ran out to Sunshine's car and we drove away.
