Today was twining thursday. I go to my calendar to mark off the day. I put my "I'm with Marty" shirt on with some blue jeans and convers.I run down the stairs to find a note on my bag. Mom and dad were gonna be gone for a week, maybe two. Which was fine by me. I swing my bag over my shoulders, grab something to eat for breakfast, and head out to catch the bus. Everyone was sitting with their twin. "Amber!" I look in the direction of the voice and find Marty with her twin shirt on. "There you are. I was begining to worry that you would be a no-show." " Sorry bout that. Mom and dad left a note on my bag." This made her a little upset. "What's the excuse this time?" I just roll my eyes "they're gonna be gone for a couple weeks. So that means you can come over." Her eyes got real big. "MOVIE MARATHON!" We both laughed when one of the guys was looking at us funny.

We get to the school and I sprint to my locker. Right when I get there Josh and his friends were just getting to their lockers. I notice that he was looking at me and I turn away. I'm pretty sure my face is red now. I close my locker and see him walk away with his friends. All except one. I turn to go to class and bump into someone. "Hey. Watch where you're going dork!" I just pick up my stuff and start walking again. "Hey dork, aren't you gonna apologise for running into me? After all, my jersey's all wrinkly." I just ignore him and walk into class. It was just a normal day to this teacher. I guess the homecoming spirit didn't get to her.

Class was boring as usual. Once the bell rang, I jumped out of my seat, bag in hand, and went to my locker. "Hey dork!" Not him again. "You still didn't say sorry." I turn around and see the guy I bumped into. As well as Josh. All the guys are laughing at me except him. I turn to walk away but he grabs my bag, pulling me back to my locker. "Hey dork. You better apologise." "Guys, stop. Coach aint gonna be happy if he hears that you guys beat up a girl." This made the guy let go of my bag. I didn't even have time to thank him. I ran as fast as I could to my next class. As soon as I got in I put my bag down and went to the bathroom. I look in the mirror and see tear marks running down my face. I didnt even realise I was crying. "Hey. I know you're in there." It was Marty. I guess she saw me run into the bathroom. "Go to class. You're gonna be late." "I don't care. I'm not gonna leave my best friend in the bathroom while she's crying." I hate it when she does this. But at the same time, I'm thankful that she stays.
