"Jas, look out!" I laugh as she almost knocks out a vase of flowers.

"We have to hurry! Jake will have fodder for months if I'm late. Why does getting ready take so long anyways?"

I laugh at her again, not bothering to point out that she'd changed a dozen times and messed with her hair for about 40 minutes. That was after she'd done her makeup.

"Hey we're here, and your dad says Naisie saved us some seats up front. We're fine."

"Agh, do you know how long it's been since the boys were home? Over two years - since before I even knew you existed. They've been galavanting around the world, saving people and the planet. You are no different; leaving me to take care of your pack. And here I've been, twiddling my thumbs with nothing to do but paint my feelings away and run when that doesn't work.

"Now that they're back, Dad will have to let me do something for a change."

I just listen and continue following her down the long corridor. It truly seems never ending. We're about 40 minutes outside of Ladle, hometown to Mason's pack, in a huge and gorgeous building that looks like it's supposed to be the mansion of a trillionaire-type. Either that or a state senate building.

"Here we are!" We enter a beautiful atrium compete with chandelier and gorgeous staircase. We rush as fast as we can in heels, taking the door on the right.
