People who love you just want what's best for you,
But what happens if what you want isn't what they want?
They wouldn't stop loving you, they might disown you though..

'🪷,

"Your majesty, the King and Queen acquire you in the courtyard."

"Why's that?"

"I do not know sir, they ordered me to tell you to meet them before night rises."

"Ok, thank you Jinwoon."

Jinwoon, the King and Queen's longtime butler, for 23 years now.  He's 44 and well experienced now and knows what he's doing. When the Prince was born 18 years ago, Jinwoon grew to like him.  He would take care of the Prince almost every day since the King and Queen had gatherings, meetings, and overall duties to attend.  He ended up raising the Prince like his own son, because of his immense amount of kindness and love for the child. The King and Queen had been convinced by the Prince to move him up as the head butler in the castle. Now, as the head butler, Jinwoon is incharge of all the other butlers, and gets a massive pay raise.  Given the big pay raise, the royal family had told him that he now has enough money to live on his own if he desired; only to be told no by Jinwoon, "I have no family of my own and your kindness has raised be to be the man I am today, I shall stay here with my closest family I have, you three, of course if that is acceptable to you." Now Jinwoon is living with the family full time, and they treat him like royalty.  Of course, he's part of the family now.

Jinwoon bows his head and walks out of the Prince's room, leaving the door ajar.

"Jisung honey! Come here!" Wonyoung says, spreading her arms out wide as she welcomes Jisung in for a hug.  "Hi mom." The prince says giving his mother a quick hug before moving to his father for a handshake.

With parents like Jisungs, it was hard for him to be part of a royal family, his mother was always trying to comfort him and be the best mom she could, but of course she was the Queen and had her duties to attend to.  As for Jisungs father, Cha Eunwoo, he was cold, but reasonable.  The King and Queen got married at the young age of 18 and 20.  The King was rarely around for when Jisung was growing up, he never seemed to take interest in Jisungs life and often took his wife, Cha Wonyoung, away from him to tend to whatever tasks they had.  Although as Jisung got older, the tasks had grown, and more and more, the King and Queen grew busy.  Having no time for their son.

The prince sits down in between his father and mother, "You called?".  "Yes, me and your mother have been talking, and we think now that you're 18, it's the best time to talk to you about this."  King Eunwoo spoke.  Jisung nods, and waits for his father to continue.  "As you know, your mother got married to me when she was 18, and I to her, when I was 20.  My father, the king at the time, did not love his wife, my mother, one bit.  He married her because he had to, there was no other choice, because as a prince, who was becoming a King, he needed a Queen."  -

- "Now, when I turned 18, my father had set me up with a number of "suitable spouses ", he says in air quotes.  "I, wanting to find true love, unlike my father, had told him that I didn't want to marry someone random that I didn't love; because of this, he told me I would never become King if I were to never get a spouse."  Jisung nods looking at the ground, he knows where this is going, he never liked these conversations much with his father because it got very serious.  Jisung was the type of person who wanted to go out on his own and find his love by chance.  He wanted it to be fate, he didn't want to find a wife out of a sort of game show lineup of women who looked like their child would come out cute.  Sadly, Jisung was slightly scared of the outside world.
