Hi there! Ruru here! What are you up to? Whatever, I don’t care so listen up!

I wrote my very first novel in the beginning of 2022 and finished it in 2023. I was so excited for people to read and to form those writer-fan connections where we share theories on our favorite characters, exchanging pointers or mistakes to better improve my writing. I had some of my close confidants read the draft and give me their feedback and when I felt confident, I published it on Wattpad.

After that, I'm sure you can guess. I waited...and waited...and waited.

Then I decided: “To hell with this! Imma delete the entire thing!”

Do I have your attention? Really? Cool beans, let’s get to it!

I realized that most of my so-called confidants were “sugar-coating” in their reveiws. In other words, they thought it sucked!

Bear with me, they didn’t say it out loud but it sure felt like they did!

After I saw how slow my reads were coming it, I realized that I needed to suck it up and try again! Note: this was after a few months of writer’s block and self-loathing.

I said: “What is wrong with me? Am I really that bad a writer?”

No, I’m not. I know that now. I’m realised that I put too much pressure on myself and expected to have results in a week when some of the best writers took years to write their books.

I was like: “Whatever. No need to mope about like my cat pissed in my coffee. I’ll just do it again but this time better!”

So here I am. Welcome, Rubies, to the new and improved Timeline series.

Ta-da

Oh, wait. That’s for the End. Go on! READ! Shoo! And comment, please!
