whispers of the dark - straykids story

CHAPTER ONE - 2 out of 3 goals

I wake up feeling the same as I do everyday..empty. I try and shake off the immediate sadness as I get out of my small bed. I'm Han Jisung your classic boring college student! this is my story of how my boring, meaningless life turned well.. quite the opposite.

I share a dorm with my dormate Ricky. me and him have known each other since the beginning of the year. we met when we got put in our dorm. we don't talk much since he's usually out with his friends while I'm here doing homework or just sleeping my days away. I don't really have a life. I am however..gonna change that.

I've set myself some goals! 1 I'm going to get out more, 2 make friends, 3 meet the one. just some goals I hope to achieve. today I'm going to work on goal one and two. goal three I can go back on later hah.

I walk out of my dorm, "where should I go..? I ask myself, speaking barely above a whisper. I start walking over to a nearby cafe, its decorated nicely. I walk into the place and take a seat at a small table near the back. I pick up the menu scoping over the multiple options.

"hello my name is Hyunjin and I will be your server today. can I start you off with a beverage?" I turn to him with a smile. "hmm I will just have a water for now" he nods and writes down on his notepad, while he writes I inspect him..

long black hair tied up in a half up half down style, around my age, really tall- he looks at me with a smile, which I quickly return

wait he just noticed me staring at him?!?!? oops.

he has very pretty eyes too. he walks off and I continue to scope out the menu. so many options...oh what to choose~

a cup of ice water gets placed on the table. I look up at his (might I say) beautiful face. "why thank you kind sir" he chuckles lightly "my pleasure" he bows jokingly.

now he seems like my kind of person

we both laugh and he pulls out his notepad once again. "now have you found the dish you'd like?" I smile and take one more look at the menu.

not because I don't know what I want..just for the aesthetics.

"I would love a cheesecake! and maybe a guest to sit with me?" I look up at him with a smile hoping he understands that I'm trying to get him to sit with me.

"one cheesecake coming right up! and that guest...I think I can find you one" he chuckles and winks at me, making me laugh as well. he then walks away to get my order

I think this is going well! I went out and met this guy, Hyunjin I'm pretty sure that's what he said his name was.

he soon comes back with a small cheesecake on a fancy silver plate, a long with a slice of chocolate cake. "your food is served!" he says with a smile. he places both dishes on the table and sits across from me. "I do hope the guest you were wanting was me" he says in an embarrassed tone, making me chuckle. "yes, yes I was hoping you would accompany me on this fine day" he gives a relieved sigh and we both smile at each other.

i thank him for my food and he begins to ask some questions. "so I never got your name?" Hyunjin takes a small bite out of his chocolate cake. "my name is Han Jisung" I smile while also digging into my cheesecake. "pretty name" hearing the compliment makes me blush a little.. "thank you, you have a pretty name as well..you also have very attractive facial features" now it was his turn to blush. "wh- why thank you, you have cute cheeks..reminds me of a quokka" he chuckles and we smile at each other

he seems like a nice guy

after a long entertaining conversation with hopefully my new friend Hyunjin, he had to continue his work. "this was fun! here's my phone number if you would like to be friends" he gave me a ripped up piece of his napkin with the number on it. "thank you, this was a lot of fun, and I'd love to be friends" we smile at each other for a quick moment and then he leaves after a small goodbye.
