As I walked onto the plane, I could only think of one thing, my new start.
Sure, I was scared because I've never been anywhere other than Slovakia, but there's nothing to worry about... right?
As the plane lands, I realize there's no turning back now, I slowly make my way to my new dorm, eager to get down to the gym to meet with Geno.
As I unpack, I can't help but realize that if I want to keep up with this team, I'm gonna have to work my ass off.
After unpacking
I decide to put on my practice gear and head down to the gym, so I can get some extra shots in, but as soon as I walk into the gym, my eyes are drawn to a tall brunette.
Nikas POV:
I was in the gym minding my own business when I heard the door creak open. My eyes were then immediately met with these gorgeous blonde... Actually I mean I guess she's alright.
"U-uh h-hi. " She says nervously,
I can only laugh to myself because i know I have this kind of effect on. people.
"Hello." I say boldly, "Whats you're name?"
"A-Aria, Aria."
"That's a gorgeous name, I'm Nika...Nika mühl". I tried smiling to make the atmosphere less awkward, but I think it made it even more awkward.
Arias POV:
AHHHHHHH was the only thing that went through my mind after Nika stopped talking to me, I have no clue why, but her voice is just so sexy.
After we were done talking, I started to shoot around some, but none of them went in because my mind was only on that special girl.
A few minutes later, I heard a whistle, which startled me. The whole team gathers around the coach AKA, the one and only Geno.
I just stand there awkwardly, not knowing what to do, but then Geno waves me over.
I start walking slowly and stand next to Geno as he talks to the girls.
"Girls, as you can probably tell, we have a new player, her name is Aria Maple. Please give her a warm welcome. "
Yeah, if you call a few people saying hi in basically a whisper a warm welcome, I don't know what is wrong with you.
Geno then gives us directions for some new drills, and I'm excited to learn them. As Geno continues to talk, my eyes land on her again, and my stomach immediately erupts in butterflies.
The way she just looks so focused, her jaw relaxed her facial features.
Her toned arms and face, and those arms. And those hands to I wonder if she has strong fingers for fu-.
My thoughts were rudely interrupted by Geno, saying he was now putting us in teams. Geno then starts counting off the players.
The one thing I hate about being a basketball player is the fact that you actually have to talk to people on your team. It's literally the worst.
But even though it sucks I can't see my family or friends, I do believe that this team will be my new family, and it will be a great new start.
