Jared just stood beside the bookshelf, casually took an introduction book about pregnant women's diet and nutrition, and began to read it. As the president of a group, he read it fast.

Unconsciously, half of the book had been flipped over. When he looked up, he saw that the snow outside the window was falling more heavily.

"When I take him to have a delivery examination tomorrow, I have to let him wear thick clothes," he thought.

He put the book back on the bookshelf, washed up simply, lay down on the bed, and turned off the lights.

The heating in the room was very warm, so he didn't feel cold. The bed was also very big, so it was enough for him to sleep alone. Jared was tossing and turning in the bed, but he couldn't fall asleep.

The bed was too big. When he slept alone on it, he felt a little empty and lonely.

Since he couldn't fall asleep, he simply opened his eyes and let his thoughts run wild.

In fact, when he knew that Herman was pregnant, he was shocked. At first, he didn't believe it. It was experts from all over the world who took turns to get the news. After some time, he finally digested the news.

What kind of mood would he feel after accepting this fact?

He suddenly became a quasi-father. Knowing that Herman had a child with his blood in his belly, his mood was very complicated. There was no child in his life plan. Knowing the existence of the child, his plan and his heart were in a mess.

He knew that he should shoulder the responsibility of a man and a father. He really tried to do so.

But what kind of mood did he have to face Herman and the kid?

He couldn't understand, and he couldn't even do anything about it.

He would rather face all kinds of complex reports, plans, and contracts of the group. At least, he was able to handle them with ease. He was able to sort out the seemingly complicated information clearly and efficiently. But when it came to love, he was always unable to figure it out.

The snow outside the window was getting heavier, the sky and earth seemed to be dyed white. In the bedroom, Jared covered himself with the quilt, forcing himself to close his eyes and sleep.

But the stuffy feeling in his heart lingered on.

Was there a trace of... regret?

Herman flew up a little late the next day. After washing up and changing his clothes, it was almost ten o'clock.

When he went out with some necessary things, Jared opened the door and went to Herman's side as if he was guarding behind his door.

"Are you sure you've brought all the things you need?"

Herman gave him a suspicious look. "Didn't I say that I'll go by myself? You have so many things to do every day, so don't come. Besides, I don't need you."

Jared had been rejected a lot by him, and his resistance was much stronger. He had learned to ignore Herman's words.

Anyway, he was going to pick him up.

He went downstairs with Herman. When he walked into the garage, he grabbed Herman's car key directly with a dark face.

"Hey." Herman was so angry that his eyes widened. "What the hell is wrong with you? How can a President learn to act like a rogue? Give me the car key!"

Jared opened the door of his usual Maybach's backseat and threw the key in. "Take it by yourself."

Herman walked to the car door on alert and was about to reach out to get it, but Jared had already set up an ambush behind him. He directly carried him into the car and closed the door with a bang.

Herman's body was not feeling well. Jared's hands and feet were indeed very fast, and he had already locked the door.

He was so angry that he held the key and said with a stern face, "Jared Cromwell, are you out of your mind? Don't see me off or send me there? How old are you? What tricks are you playing in the morning?"

Jared got into the car and said, "I said I'll send you off, just to see you off."

"Didn't you see that I have my own car? Do you want me to meddle in your business?"

Being rejected by him, Jared was also a little angry, and his tone was inevitably a little heavy. "Look at your shabby van yourself, do you think I can rest assured? Even if you are fine, who am I looking for to settle scores with if you hurt the son of my family?"

As soon as he said that, he immediately shut up.

Every time he looked at Herman, once Herman's words made him angry, his usual calmness and self-restraint seemed to disappear. It was easy for him to not be able to control himself to say some hurtful words and do excessive things.

He knew that these words should not be said, and this was not his original intention. But if he was angry, it was always easy to get out of control.

It was like this at the moment.

He turned his face and saw that Herman had already looked out of the window. The lines on his face were slightly cold and hard. No anger or disappointment could be seen in his eyes. There was no emotion in his eyes.

Jared was annoyed, but he didn't show it on his face. He started the car coldly and drove out of the garage.

There was no word on the way.
