Amara's pov:

"OH MY FREAKING HELL DI YOU'RE JOKINGGG!!!!!" I screammm as di shows all of us her ring finger. She just got proposed 2 weeks ago and no one and by no one I mean NO ONE knew about her dating a guy. Everyone's happy obviouslyyy.

They're off to get married in 2 months and well considering we're Indians. Wait lemme rephrase that, hum north waale hai , which means everything has to be EXTRA. I am so fucking excited cause this is our generations first wedding in the fam.

I am so so so so happy for her. I wonder if I'll ever fall in love. Again. I want to. Seeing everyone around me be happily in love makes my heart warm. Dont get me wrong I love seeing people in love but it makes me sad. Cause when will it be me?

"Amaraa jaldi kitaab leke aao , we need to start planning " badi nani gets me out of my deep thoughts 

"Haan I'm coming"

Everyones made a big circle , the oldies are sitting on the sofa and we have laid down matresses and we all cousins are sitting on it. 

" Waise di I need all the detailsss like Oh my GOD" and everyone starts laughing as I say that.

"I knew about it" my older cousin brother( Ahaan) says that. He and Navya di are of almost of the same age and they're super duper close. He's older than Navya di also.

" and you didnt tell uss??????" I act like I got a fake heart attack and he just shrug

" Amara di when will I get a girlfriend" my younger cousin brother ( Vihaan) says that and rests his head on my shoulders. 

"Hahahah cutie , dont worry your time will also come. Waise bhi no ones going anywhere" 
"AND BTW DI your wedding needs to be GRAND. After all this is the first weddinggg in our generation hehe"

"Haan haan sahi baat bola Amara" Mausa ji agrees with me. 

" So starting with the details , I met Rohit at college and yeah we were in the same friend group and we used to be best friends and eventually we ended up in love. Theres nothing more to it."

Everyone shares their share of aww's and thats cute. Best friends to lovers in my opinion is adorable asf but I can't lie my topmost favourite trope is enemies-to-lovers 

" Navya when are you calling him home,we all want to meet him"

" Oh yeah, about that he is mostly flying in 2 weeks later once the wedding plan is finalised and everything. Shaadi ke most of the rituals yahi pe hogi and then we'll fly to Goa. Hum shaadi Goa mein karna chahte hai "

"Arrey wahh yeh toh sahi hai , ab baatein band chalo saari planning karte hai" Nani screams hahaha.

So right now it's June end  and they all are planning a wedding in August. But before that we need to be done with the shopping arrangements and they're planning for an engagement in the mid week of july. But before that we as in me Navya di, Vihaan and Ahaan bhai along with Rohit jiju and his friends and his cousins need to check out the venue , food testing and everyhting has to be done. So yea

" Okay guys so the plan is set . We'll have the engagement two weeks later and I'll call Rohit to fly here along with his family 10 days later so until then all the arrangements shopping everything needs to be done. By the way maa we want the engagement to be really small and only close friends toh aaj sab jo yahan hai along with few more people and Rohit's side will be attending. I hope thats okay?" di says all this in one breath and I try controlling my laughter.

"Yes beta of course. After all it's your wedding, I cant imagine meri choti si pari has grown up so fast already" Badi maasi's words put us all in tears and except me. Obviously, I cannot cry infront of people, it's not my thing so yeah. Altho it does make me emotional and I do have tears in my eyes but I don't wanna cry.
