"So, she dumped you and left without a proper explanation?" My friend's question had me curling into a ball of shame after I revealed what happened the other day.
After that whole fiasco, I went straight home and locked myself in my room. The humiliation, disappointment, and heartbreak were too overwhelming that I couldn't bear to step outside the comfort of my home.
I lied to my boss, saying I got into a car accident just so I could skip work for a few days and drown myself in my misery.
Even the mere thought of Mina brought tears to my eyes. The trio in front of me sighed while passing me my 4th box of tissues, already used to my mental breakdown by now.
"And you were planning to propose too..." Kim Jisoo added to her previous question before sighing.
"I can't believe she broke up with you for such a dumb reason!" Kang Seulgi shook her head, clearly annoyed by what my ex-girlfriend did.
"Red flag behavior right there"
"Stop that" Park Jihyo slapped Jisoo's shoulder after the latter said something inappropriate.
We were currently in Jisoo's penthouse after the 3 of them dragged my ass out of bed. They've had enough of me ignoring their messages and pretending they don't exist.
So instead of minding their own business, they barged into my house unannounced and forced me into going shopping with them so I'd feel better.
Their little plan obviously didn't work since I was still bawling my eyes out even after eating 2 bowls of ice cream fed to me by Seulgi.
"Cheer up, buddy" She said while fixing my dishevelled hair. Jisoo grabbed a blanket and wrapped it around me while Jihyo wiped my tears away with a tissue.
These 3 are my best friends. We've known each other since our 1st year of high school, and we've been glued together since then.
Nothing could separate us, not even the locked door of my bedroom that's currently broken because they forced it open with a hammer.
"I'm sure there's more to this than meets the eye" Jihyo said with a smile. "Mina probably has a more valid reason as to why she broke up with you"
I slowly lifted my head and met her tender gaze. "You think so?"
"I know so," She winked before pinching my cheek. "You know where she lives, right? You can always pay her a visit and ask her what's really going on"
I've thought about doing that many times, but I was too afraid to face her again. If she won't answer my calls, then I doubt she'll let me inside her apartment.
"How about you don't?" The 2 of us turned our heads to Jisoo, who openly expressed her disapproval of Jihyo's suggestion. "What if Mina just wanted to meet someone new? Think about it, Y/n. You two have been together for 7 years, she probably got tired"
"Jisoo!" Jihyo yelled in disbelief, quickly covering my ears before I start crying again. "Why would say that?"
She was clearly upset by our friend's statement, wondering why the hell Jisoo kept saying mean things about Mina.
