Aomine's expression shifted to one of concern as he left the car. Meanwhile, I hurried back into the car, my hands shaking as I fumbled with the zipper of my dress. Panic set in when I realized the worst: the dangly earring pinned to the fabric had somehow pierced the skin on my lower stomach, and to make matters worse, the zipper had broken.
"Shit, what am I going to do?" I muttered under my breath, the sting of the wound growing sharper.
With no other option, I ripped the $7,000 dress, revealing a small spot of blood. The panic intensified as I realized that I was left in nothing but a tiny, almost see-through white lace bra and matching panties. The situation felt surreal, like something out of a nightmare.
I quickly lowered the tinted windows just a fraction, needing air to clear my mind.
"Y/N, is everything okay?" Kise's voice cut through the silence, thick with worry.
"I don't know," I admitted, my voice trembling as I started to panic.
"What was hurting?" Kise asked, his concern deepening.
"Nothing, I just... I got stabbed by the pin on my dress," I explained, trying to keep my voice steady. "It must've happened when Kasamatsu and I fell."
Kise shot a glare at Aomine, shaking his head in frustration. The fall had been Aomine's doing, and now I was paying the price. Aomine's usual smirk faded, and he held up his hands in a gesture of surrender.
"My bad for hurting the pop star," he said, though the regret in his voice was evident.
I rolled my eyes at his comment, too focused on my predicament to dwell on it. All I could think about was how I had nothing to wear. Then it hit me.
"Kise's crewneck!" I yelled, more to myself than anyone else.
"What? Y/n, if you're bleeding, let me help", Kise said, walking closer to the door. "NO WAIT, STOP I am literally naked," she ducks down. "Oh, I'm sorry." Kise backs up and looks at Aomine, who finds him smiling. He lightly pushed Aomine back so y/n couldn't hear. "Are you serious?"
"What, this is a funny situation," Aomine defends himself. "We wouldn't be in it if it weren't for you," Kise says getting annoyed. "Accidents happen, Kise; I said I was sorry."
"Didn't look like one to me," Kise said in a severe tone.
"Right, cuz I have nothing better to do than to push people around," Aomine said unbothered.
"Gow up Aomine. How could you laugh after what you did?!"
"Kise, I saw how you looked at the two of them. If I wasn't the one that pushed, it definitely looked like you would've done worse to your senior," Aomine said slyly.
"What are you implying?? Not everyone is immature like you!" Kise raised his voice.
"Okay, you know what, Kise. Calm down. Let's get Momoi and see what she can do, alright?" Aomine said, about to head back to the party. "Fine," Kise said calmly.
The car door opened. "Guys 😭" y/n said awkwardly. They both turned to see y/n in only Kise's crewneck. Kise was shy as he walked towards her, "Are you okay? Is it serious?""I think I'm fine. I just need a really big bandaid, but hey, your crewneck saved me again," y/n said, feeling embarrassed. Kise smiled. "Let's get you home then. Aomine, you drive."
Aomine couldn't stop staring at her soft, glowy, long legs. Kise broke his stare. "Ya, okay," Aomine said nonchalantly. Aomine drove while Kise and y/n sat in the back. Kise and y/n laughed, talked, joked and kept playfully hitting each other, which annoyed Aomine.
When they reached y/n's home, Aomine felt relieved, it was like torture in that car. If he heard another "remember when" story, he would lose it. Aiden came right at the door of the car, so Kise didn't have to get off.
"Bye, Kise, please stop by more," Y/n said, hugging him. "Bye, Aomine, thanks for driving me." y/n said with a forced smile. "Ya, whatever." Kise cleared his throat. "Sorry about today, btw," Aomine forcefully says. "Ur good, don't worry," y/n says as she gets out of the car.
Kise and Aomine drive back. "You know, I think I may have overreacted a bit, Aominecchi," Kise said, feeling a little guilty. "I was just stressed, cuz she was my responsibility tonight, and I promised Kagamicchi and her manager to keep her safe. I don't want her hurt," Kise sighed. "It's whatever, Kise, I said some dumb things too, assuming shit," Aomine said.
"I actually thought you pushed them on purpose. I may have projected my jealousy onto you," Kise says feeling embarrassed and guilty. Aomine looks away from Kise while fake laughing. "You like her?" Aomine says gently. "How could I not? She's perfect in every way. Maybe a bit out of my league. But I was going to ask her out when she said she was thinking of coming to Japan," Kise explains, Aomine cuts him off and says," Still doing the plan?"
"Kagamicchi would kill me. I don't want to do that to him, especially since he's trusting me right now." Kise laughs. "Ya, he is a moron that I love annoying, but even I wouldn't do that to him," Aomine says while avoiding making eye contact with Kise. Kise drops Aomine home and heads back to Kanagawa.
