3 MONTHS LATER

・゜゜・.SAM WINCHESTER .・゜゜・

IT'S ALWAYS BEEN DAD, DEAN AND I, well more like Dean and I. After mom died, dad started to take us with him on the job, obsessed with the thought of finding the demon. We moved from town to town, never stayed anywhere for long. Sometimes dad didn't come back for days, leaving it to Dean to look after me.

Honestly, I don't even really remember everything that happened that night - I was just a little boy, laying in my crib, dad told me over and over again. However, I know the night still haunts Dean, his soul scarred, yet he would never admit it- the role as the older, stronger and caring brother engraved in his brain.

Now, days after dad went on a hunting trip and didn't come back, we hit the road to find him. Dean and I ended up at a roadhouse, encountering an old friend of our dad as well as her daughter.
Adeline.

Ever since we met her, she's been trying to help find dad. Addie stuck around for some cases and really grew close to me, well like a good friend but with Dean I'm not entirely sure how he feels about the brunette.

I've noticed the tension between my brother and her, which sparks whenever they're around each other.
The constant bickering, the secretive eye contact when they think the other isn't looking. I haven't seen Dean like that for a long time - no hookups and no flirting with every woman who crosses his path. Instead his eyes are always on the brunette, looking out for her on the job.

He wouldn't admit it but I know my brother well enough to notice the little changes in his behavior - he's different.

Then, the day Ash found a possible lead on dad's last location, Dean and I traced him down - without any luck unfortunately. Only a messy motel room was left behind, looking like dad left in a hurry.

"And we wasted another day on a clue that led us to nowhere because we were too late, again." Dean groans, sliding the leather jacket off his shoulders.

"Dean come on man." I slump onto the couch at the backside of the roadhouse, the living area of the Harvelles'.

"Here you go boys," Ellen puts two blankets on the little couch table, since Dean and I plan on staying at theirs for the night.

Adeline rushes in. Her hair is tied into a messy bun, some locks of her chocolate hair framing her face.
"Ash told me he was gone already, I'm sorry."

I appreciate her for caring but frankly that's not our only problem anymore. A few weeks ago it all started with nightmares every now and then - at least that's what I thought it was at first.

Waking up in the middle of the night, drenched in sweat, screaming so loud that Dean would wake up too.
Running on little sleep got to me pretty fast and soon I started to get really bad headaches even through the day, vivid images of people flashing before my eyes.

It felt real. Those nightmares felt real.

Now we know the reason it felt so real to me. I'm having visions. We haven't yet found out why I have them, but whenever a vision plays in my mind, it's most likely someone is about to get hurt.

Last night I had a vision about a girl with golden blonde hair and ocean blue eyes and a smile just like Jess'.

Oh Jess, how much I miss you.
