The days turned into weeks, and Menma continued to live and train alongside Naruto and Sasuke. He cherished every moment, but deep down, he knew that his presence in the past could eventually disrupt the timeline. Despite his growing attachment to this time and place, he couldn't shake the feeling that his journey wasn't over yet.

One day, as Menma was sparring with Sasuke in the training grounds, a familiar presence approached them. It was Jiraiya, his expression more serious than usual. "Menma, can I have a word with you?" he asked, his voice carrying an unusual weight.

Menma nodded, exchanging a puzzled glance with Sasuke before following Jiraiya to a secluded area. Jiraiya turned to face him, his eyes filled with a mixture of concern and resolve. "I've been doing some research on time travel jutsus, and I've found something that might interest you," he began.

Menma's heart skipped a beat. "What did you find?" he asked, his voice tinged with both hope and apprehension.

Jiraiya took a deep breath. "There's a way for you to return to your time. It's risky and complex, but it's possible," he explained, his tone serious.

Menma's mind raced with conflicting emotions. He had grown so attached to his parents and the life he had built here, but he knew that returning to his time was the right thing to do. "How long do I have?" he asked quietly.

Jiraiya looked at him sympathetically. "The jutsu needs to be performed during the next full moon, which is in three days," he replied.

Menma nodded, a heavy sense of sadness settling over him. "Thank you, Jiraiya-sama," he said softly.

As Menma made his way back to the training grounds, he felt the weight of the impending farewell pressing down on him. He found Naruto and Sasuke waiting for him, their expressions filled with curiosity and concern.

"What's going on, Menma?" Naruto asked, his voice tinged with worry.

Menma took a deep breath, steeling himself for the difficult conversation. "I... I have a way to return to my time. The jutsu can only be performed during the next full moon, which is in three days," he explained, his voice barely above a whisper.

Naruto's eyes widened in shock and sadness. "You mean... you have to leave?" he asked, his voice trembling.

Menma nodded, his heart breaking at the sight of Naruto's distress. "Yes, Dad. I have to go back. My presence here could disrupt the timeline, and I need to protect the future," he said, his voice filled with emotion.

Sasuke's expression remained stoic, but Menma could see the pain in his eyes. "We understand, Menma. You have to do what's right," he said quietly.

The next few days were a whirlwind of emotions as Menma, Naruto, and Sasuke spent every moment together. They trained, shared stories, and created memories that Menma would carry with him forever. The impending farewell cast a shadow over their time, but they did their best to make the most of it.

On the night of the full moon, they gathered at the training grounds one last time. The moonlight bathed the clearing in a silvery glow, creating an almost ethereal atmosphere. Jiraiya stood ready to perform the jutsu, his expression solemn.

Menma turned to Naruto and Sasuke, his heart heavy with sadness. "I want you both to know how much you mean to me. You're the best parents anyone could ask for," he said, his voice choked with emotion.

Naruto's eyes filled with tears as he pulled Menma into a tight embrace. "We'll always be with you, Menma. No matter where or when," he said, his voice filled with love.

Sasuke placed a hand on Menma's shoulder, his eyes reflecting a rare softness. "Stay strong, Menma. And remember, we'll always be proud of you," he said quietly.

Menma nodded, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you, Dad. I love you both," he whispered.

As Jiraiya began to chant the incantation, the air around them shimmered with energy. Menma felt a pull, a tugging sensation as the jutsu took hold. The last thing he saw before everything went white was the tear-streaked faces of his parents, their expressions filled with love and pride.

When Menma opened his eyes, he found himself back in his own time. The familiar sights and sounds of the village surrounded him, but his heart ached with the loss of the time he had spent with his parents.

Despite the sadness, Menma knew that he had done the right thing. He had protected the timeline and ensured the future of Konoha. And even though he was no longer with them, the bond he shared with Naruto and Sasuke would always remain.

As he walked through the village, Menma felt a renewed sense of purpose. He would continue to protect the legacy of his parents and honor the bonds they had forged. The future was still unwritten, and Menma was determined to shape it with the strength and love he had gained from his journey through time.
