chapter 1: moving in

"Congratulations Y/n!" my older half-sister, Sana, cheerfully said as she hugged me tight. "I'm so proud of you!"

I thanked her while hugging her back lightly, overwhelmed by the call I had just received. I had been told I'd officially debut in TripleS as the last member, the s25. My dream was finally about to come true! I was already active in the industry as a producer, but I always wanted to become an idol too. Ever since I produced some songs for TripleS and ARTMS, their company wanted me as an idol under them. I was reluctant at first, but after all the work I put in, I thought it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. People who know me are well aware of my capacities in the music scene and many companies love to have me as a producer as well as a choreographer and songwriter. Since Sana was an idol too, I'd sometimes cross paths with her and her members at her agency when I was in Korea, which was always a pleasure. 

I was in my apartment, cooking myself mac n cheese along with some steak cubes when I received the call from Modhaus. I had already told them I would love to be part of TripleS, so now was the moment of truth I'd been waiting for. Would they actually integrate me in the group or would they cancel it? When they told me I was accepted, my heart reached speeds even a F1 couldn't reach. My palms were all sweaty while I called my sister and told her the news, to which she reacted very happily. Due to MiSaMo promotions in Japan, she was able to come over with her groupmates to congratulate me and here we were now, my body trapped between Sana's arms in my apartment's doorstep. 

"I'm proud of you too Y/n! Who would have thought the 12 year old girl I met when I debuted would become an idol too?" Momo told me as she tried to ruffle my hair as she did years ago, when she was still taller than me.

"Yeah, Momo's right, you grew so much since we met Y/n/n, I really am happy for you." Mina said, less loudly than Momo. 

The japanese girl then hugged me lightly, patting my back gently as well.

"Thank you unnies, this really means a lot to me." I quietly said, trying to fight back the tears that were threatening to spill out of my eyes. "I'm really grateful to have you all by my side."

Sana quickly saw them and hugged me again, Momo and Mina joining into the hug while I let the tears fall on my cheeks. This was the best day of my life, or so I thought.

*beep beep beep*

The sound of my alarm resonated through the room, effectively waking me up for another day of my life. Today was an important day for me, I was moving to Korea, where I'd finally meet the girls after finalizing my contract with the agency. I was more than excited to finally be part of the group but honestly, I was fairly nervous too. Going to a new country with people I didn't even know was something that was a quite nerve-wracking thing. Luckily, I spoke korean quite well. I walked in my small bathroom and picked up the only toothbrush in the cup that rested near the sink, brushing away my morning breath with it after I applied some toothpaste on it. When I finished brushing my teeth, I washed my face and did my skincare routine before getting dressed with my favorite shirt, a navy blue striped polo and a pair of levi's that were a little too large for me. I took my airpods and put on my playlist before putting on mismatched socks. I quickly ate breakfast, which was only a sliced apple with peanut butter alongside a strawberry smoothie. I put the last belongings I had left in my backpack and I finally left the apartment, putting on my timberland boots and locking the door one last time. When I got out of the complex, I called an uber and he drove me to the Tokyo-Haneda airport, where I'd wait for my flight. We chatted a little and I learned that his name was Tsuyoshi and that he also ran a little ramen shop in a neighboring city. We soon arrived to the airport, where I bid him goodbye and went on with the flight procedures before waiting for my flight. The place was bustling with life, foreigners speaking foreign languages around me. There were a lot of overpriced restaurants and even though I was fairly hungry, I had to refrain myself from buying overpriced and probably soggy food so I went to the 7-eleven near my gate to get myself some snacks. Modhaus had told me in an e-mail that there would be my new manager with some bodyguards waiting for me at the airport. I got a text from my manager, telling me they were at the gate. I walked towards it, looking for them until I heard someone call me.
