Deukpal sighs for the uptenth time. He stares at the white ceiling above him. He didn't know who he should blame right now, himself. the universe?

He sits up and rubs his face in frustration. He pulls away his hands from his face and stares his hands in blurry sight. He forgot about one thing though, among the two of them, he, Deukpal is frantically blind without his glasses! Yihyeon is lucky for having good eyesight. But Not Him!

Deukpal curses and pulls the cover from him. Then, his right leg in a cast seemed to mock him for his carelessness. He still remembers that night on the overpass. After they switched, Deukpal line view became blurry. He thought it was probably because of his bangs that kept blocking his eyes, so he pushed them back and the reality hit him, he had poor eyesight. Who can blame him? He might be a 19-year-old kid on the outside, but inside, he is 47 years old with bad eyesight.

He walks down the stairs carefully while holding the rails. He almost trips lots of times if it wasn't for his reflects. When he reaches the final stairs he smiles in proud.

"Who said I need glass-"

Just as Deukpal steps off the curb, a motorbike comes speeding around the corner, he can't react fast enough and his body is lifted off the ground, twisting in the air before crashing down onto the pavement.

You see, Deukpal was supposed to go in the opposite direction but his poor eyesight wasn't able to recognize the way. In his blurry vision, he saw the rider rush to him while trying to call for help in panic. Deukpal's eyes closed, the world fading to black as he cursed to himself.

Here he is in the hospital room, reflecting on himself. The doctor said he could be discharged the next day as there were no other serious injuries and he only had to come for the following check-up.

"Yeah....This is my fault for not looking where I go..Not a big deal." Deukpal nods to himself, "Tomorrow let's get a pair of glasses first"

As he was just about to stand up, the door slid open harshly, Deukpal almost lost his balance as he jumped from the sudden, harsh action. A warm hands grab him and help him to stand.

"What are you doing?!"

Mrs. Lee's voice carried a mix of scolding and concern. She helps Deukpal to sit back on the bed.

Deukpal looks up but to be honest, he can't make up the woman's face. all he can see is the blurry figure, "W-who?" he asked.

Mrs. Lee sighed, her tone softening despite her frustration, "Did you forget your own mother after getting hit?" she leans down to eye level with Deukpal.

Deukpal jumped back when she suddenly leaned down, finally, Deukpal was able to see her face, 'My vision limit is so bad. I'm blind without glasses..'

"Why are you so surprised?"

"N-nothing. What brings you here, omma?"

Mrs. Song flicks his forehead and sits beside him, "Why? A mother can't visit her own son?"

Deukpal rubs his forehead, "No, it just, wouldn't father be mad if he knew you are not at home?"

Mrs. Song just scoff, "He wouldn't know anything if that stupid bitch tell him nothing."

she pats Deukpal's hand on his lap, "Tomorrow, Let's celebrate your discharge"

Before he could reject the idea, Mrs.Song  shut him,

"It had been a while since I got out. Let's use your father's card." she smiles while taking out a credit card from her wallet, "Besides, he wouldn't even care." she waved the card in front of Deukpal.
