It was during COVID time, in the midst of going through something, that a High-school friend,Oganga the man, suggested the "Drive to Survive" formula 1 series on Netflix, and I've never looked back. As the world around me slowed to a standstill, I found a new source of excitement and adrenaline within the highly competitive world of Formula 1 racing. Little did I know that this discovery would lead to a passion that would rival any sports fandom I was hooked to particularly Football and nba.

The first episode of drive to survive pulled me in with its dramatic scenes and intense rivalries, I mean if you've watched drive to survive you can pretty much attest to this. I watched in disbelief as very sleek, powerful cars sped down the tracks at unimaginable speeds, man i'm talking 200 miles per hour plus in speed! The driver’s skill and precision, moulded through years of dedication, was nothing but captivating to watch. And then there was the man,the myth, the legend, Max Verstappen! Maanz got nerves of steel, making amazing overtakes and pushing his car to its limits, wow, just wow! I felt goosebumps every time he engaged the DRS, which means Drag Reduction System, for readers who're not f1 enthusiasts.to close in on the car ahead, always ready to make his move. The thrill of the chase, the heart-stopping moments as he went past his rivals, was all so elating to me.

As I watched the series, I realized that Formula 1 was more than just cars racing around a track. It was a tactful mix of engineering, strategy, and raw talent. Each race was a combination of thorough preparation and split-second decisions. The teams behind the scenes, from engineers to strategists, work tirelessly to give their drivers the edge in races. I was particularly wowed at how long pit stops last, mahn, can you imagine changing four race tyres in seconds? It became clear to me that Formula 1 was not just a sport; it was a complex, high-stakes battle where every detail mattered, most probably the most underrated sport from my pov.
