Where do I start? 

Ah, yeah. It all started with that one volunteer project that I have joined, I saw you there with the others. You were one among the volunteers, however, you joined the project before me. I was in a batch behind you. I was a 17, you were 18; a year behind.

However, it didn't really bother me that you are there since if we are going to talk back about that time, you had a boyfriend. While I later on, date your close friend after I passed.

That's how we get close. Since I start dati ng your close friend, you also treat me like one. I can said that we both also clicked with each other.

Soon, the project ended. You begin to work there as full-timer, while I also join there yet, as part timer. You didn't worked there for long, few months later; you've quitted. We didn't keep in touch much, I just watched your life through social media after that.

2 years later, my relationship with your close friend didn't went well. Your close friend began to fall out of love with me and we broke up. Few weeks afterward, I needed some help over a place that I would like to go. Since I knew you used to went there, I gave you a chat through a social media platform.

The 'simple question' chat begins to take toll into a long conversation, at first you knew I still love your close friend so, you decided to help me out with another one of our friends that we all used to work in the volunteer project together, for us to get back together. I was delighted to hear that, it was positive that her and I will get back together with all the advices and help of yours. Seeing you helping us getting back together so happily, I didn't knew that you were also in pain that time. 

You and your five years boyfriend also broke up along the time that we did.

However, things took turn. She seems like she didn't want to get back with me, while me, I've gotten tired of chasing her as well. I put lots of efforts yet, it didn't work out. Since, you've always tried to help, we've tended to talk  and meet up a lot. The more we talked, the more we met up; the tide has turns.

Slowly, I realized that I have a feeling for you. Yet, I was in denial all the times.

Impossible, I said in my mind all the times. 

I can't be with you, you were my ex's close friend. If we happened to date, what will your friends say to you?

I knew it as well, that your feeling toward me also begins to change but, deep down you also knew it well that we can't go beyond the labeled 'friend'. 

I start hanging out with other group of friends, we start hanging out a lot and even went on an oversea trip together and then I noticed one of the girls; had a crush on me.

It was a chance for me. A chance to forget you and let you go.

I decided to give her a chance and ask her out, she said yes. That's when I started to give you less-replied. Yet, you didn't give up easily. You keep talking to me normally, just like how we used to talk. Until, I posted about my girlfriend through instagram's story. That's when I lost your presence, nearly completely. 

I cannot afford to ask you out, I knew that once we started dating. Your friendship will end, many will talk behind your back for being as a friend who steal your close friend ex's boyfriend.

Or maybe, I am just a coward who didn't want to involve in that kind of matter.

We didn't contact each other for nearly a year until I saw you again on one of our friends' birthday. She was another friend that I've encountered during the volunteer project as well. She is closest to me after you. The moment I saw you, I can't help but initiate a conversation with you. I forgot that I was the one who treated like you were invisible first. 

I have no shame.

We never met again after that, but we did talk sometimes through chat after that. You did asked me how I was doing so, did I.

Another 5 years had passed, I was 25 and you were 26. 

I asked you to meet, but it was not a reason that people probably expected.

'I am getting married' 

You, who is raising your cup of ice latte to drink suddenly pause half way. You stare at me in silence for good seconds before you laugh.

'Is that why you finally asked me to meet?' I can hear the playful tone in your voice, but still, you smile at me. You put your cup down again without taking a sip.

'Congrats, Sunghoon' The playful tone quickly turns sweet. 

'Thanks' I said softly, while I told you that I am getting married. You never dated anyone at all, deep inside me, I was wondering; why?

Judging from the way she treated me, it was different from when we used to hang out during that time. So, why aren't you finding your own happiness.

Same answer was provided to me all the time.

'Why should I date? Love is such a painful thing to understand' and you will shrug off your shoulder.

But, do you know?

I want you to be happy too, I want to see someone treat you well, the way that you always deserve. Unlike your ex, unlike me.

'You better be there, you promised me long time ago' I said with a firm tone, making sure that she have to come.

'How could I miss my one and only best guy friend's wedding?' She brightly smiles and look at me.

I smile genuinely at her.

'Pinky promise' I said as I held out my little finger in front of her, she looks at it and gives me a look before she chuckles.

'What are you, a kid?' Despite saying that, she hook her little finger with mine.

Yet, with all those promises and ensuring that you gave me, you didn't come. You never reach the wedding hall. 

'Wonyoung' I kneel down, tears flowing down my cheeks as soon I saw you lying there in a pool of blood, lifeless.

It's like I have been punished. 

The day that I chose to tie the knot with someone else forever was the day that I lost you forever.

This will be my upcoming project, but it won't be release anytime soon.

Prolly, it will be release only after I finished 'By chance, I love you' first.

I cannot afford to update 3 stories, cries.

'The house of the devil' was already in slow progress and I also have worked to deal in real life.

Yet, since I have new idea for this storyline, I'll just release the prologue out first. ;-;
