"DID YOU JUST FALL YOU CLUMSY BITCH?!" Olive screamed from wherever she was in the hall. Her foot steps started to come closer. Most likely to check on the girl as the fall sounded bad.

"Uh....yeah! I'm fine, I just tripped!" The brown skin girl yelled back. She knew that it was foolish of her to not tell her sister about this. For all she knew, this could be an alien trying to eat her brain.

Wait.....that's zombies. What do aliens do?

"Embarrassing." Olive snickered but walked past the closed room door. Most likely going to tell their parents that she was fine. Dakota wasn't surprised, if she wasn't seriously hurt the girl wouldn't have cared.

Siblings.........

The little red bird blinked at her curiously. Flapping its wings in a rhythmic pace.

"I'm not really sure where I came from." He tilted his head as he landed on the ground. Confusion swirling around his eyes. Answering the earlier question very late.

The girl stared at the little creature. Surprised at the fact that her floor wasn't burning. Now that she thought about it, she didn't even feel the heat at all.

Her fear quickly started fading away.

  Crazy.

"You just came out of my necklace......" She mumbled as if she didn't believe the words she uttered. Which she didn't but it was the truth.

"Oh yeah! Because that's my Miraculous!" The bird chirped happily when it remembered the event from literally five seconds ago. Dakotas nose wrinkled at his cuteness.

"Miraculous?" She pulled herself off the floor. Opting for sitting in her gaming chair. The little bird flew up and landed on her desk. The girl tensed for a second. Still worried he'd burn her items.

"Let me start from the beginning Dakota! I'm Maui, The Phoenix Miraculous. I am called a Kwami!" The little fire bird smiled. Its beady black eyes sparkled as its flames seemed to pop like little fireworks.

Did this help the girl's confusion? No, it only made it worse.

"Maui, my love, I'm going to need just a little more information than that." Dakota smiled softly at the little bird.

Curiosity was getting the best of her as she wanted to touch the bird. Her hand reached out slowly mainly to see if the heat of the fire could be felt the closer she got.

Maui blinked at her hand but nuzzled against it. It's been centuries since he's last been out and had an owner. The gentle touch of human was missed more than anyone could imagine.
