Evelyn strolled through the hallways of her school, the day almost over and done with. She strolled through the hallways with her backpack on her back on her way to her very last class of the day, which happened to be one of the more human orientated, teaching how to interact and act like a human. A class that Evelyn, as a changeling, found very useful. Only certain people got the chance to take the class as not everyone could pass for human. Meaning, there were no trouble markers present in the class. As she came up to where the class was located, she took note of the line that was lined up beside the door to the classroom on the lockers and took her place at the end of the line which wasn't that hard, the line wasn't long. Not at all. It only consisted of eight students. Evelyn looked them up and down as if looking for oddities among them. There weren't any. She pursed her lip and leaned back against the lockers. Could the teacher finish her lesson any slower? It was then that the door burst open, startling everyone who had lined up on the lockers by the door. The teacher of the class came out first in a hurried fashion, spinning on her heel to face the students lined up on the lockers by her classroom door, "Oh my! I'm so sorry, dears! How long have you all been waiting out here? The bell didn't ring..." She trailed off, her eyebrows scrunching together as she thought about if what she was telling her next bunch of students was true. The student at the front of the line said, "It's okay. Don't think about it too much. The bell did in fact, not ring. Miss Mirr." The one who had spoken was no other than Marin Eldoris, or as most people knew him just by his last name, Eldoris. Eldoris was... something. To say the least. He looked human, most definitely, but if you ever caught him without a shirt, you would know he had fish scales. Not the weirdest thing, not at this school nor neighborhood. Nope. Miss Mirr appeared to relax upon hearing that the bell had in fact not rang, her shoulders no longer tense. "Ah, well then..." She made a motion behind her back for the students still seated in her classroom to stand and take their leave quietly. Miss Mirr had a way of communicating complex things using just her hand moments. The other students quickly rose to their feet and filed out of the classroom, their gazes never once straying over to the students who were going to be taking the class next. Evelyn, along with the rest of the students in line, walked into Miss Mirr's classroom and took their respective seats. Evelyn's seat was located in the very back of the class. She liked it that way. Evelyn took her backpack off of her back and set it down on her desk, unzipping it and taking her notebook and stray pencil out of the bag. After Evelyn did that, she set her backpack down on the floor. Still unzipped. It was then Miss Mirr walked back into the classroom, closing the door behind her. She took her usual place in front of the class, clasping her hands together at her waist for the time being. Her gaze wandered among her students, her mouth moving without words leaving as she counted off the students present in her class. Evelyn sat up straighter in her seat to ensure that she was counted. Miss Mirr finished her counting quickly, giving her class a smile. "All of you made it -today. That's excellent!" She bounced on the balls of her feet. "(Author hates writing teacher dialogues.) Sorry. Let me gather myself." Miss Mirr took a steadying breath, stifling her excitement. She unclasped her hands, her arms dangling at her sides. Evelyn took her attention away from Miss Mirr to open her notebook, flipping through the pages to find one that was empty. She looked back up at Miss Mirr then put her attention back onto the blank page in front of her, tapping her pencil against the page idly, waiting for the lesson to start up.
