Leon looked suprised as hid dad grabbed his hand and rushed back inside the palace...
"d-dad... what do you mean.. rose doesnt have asthma" he asked scratching his face from the dry tears..
"rose has something, a bit more than that" his dad said stopping at the infirmary door and glaring at the nurse.
"you WILL let me and my son in that room. this instant." he said with his jaw clenched and a hard expression on his face.
The maid looked scared and worried. She had never been face to face with the king of promenlay before. "y-y-yes sir.." she said with shaky eyes. The king smiled at her nodded and walked strode inside with Leon waving at her and her waving back with a small nervous smile.
Leon stared at rose as she sat at the side of her bed and looked out her window at the sunset. He found himself mesmerized, her eyes gleamed in the light of the sunset as she stared out the window. her hair lifted up a little from the breeze as her golden higlights beamed over her shoulder. She really was perfect.
Her mom sat in the corner of the room with her head burried in her hands. she was wearing a black silk dress with fur on every brim ve the dress, she had white jewels making flowery patterns on her arms and around her waiste. She had matching jewels on her hair that went up into a bun, her hair was brown and her eyes were hazelnut colored, so rose didnt look exactly like her, just a little bit.
Leons dad greeted her and looked over at rose, He had pain in his eyes. he had met rose when she was only 2, that was when he introduced Leon and and her and they became best friends. Leon was an only child, because him mom had passed away when he was born from blood loss. his dad refused to marry or adopt, so that he could spend time of what he had left of his wife.
Julian (leons dad) stared at rose and took his small cap off of his head, holding it to his chest.
"rose, its very good to see you again.." he was about to ask how she had been holding up, but then thought it was the wrong choice of words considering the condition she was in right now.
Rose looked up at him and gave him a half hearted smile before look back out the window with an emotionless expression. The dad looked around the room for a moment and stared at the mom who was looking at rose. "look rose" said Julian. "i know that you've been trying to cope with your condition but.. this place, its just not right for you, or your health" he said with a hard expression not taking his eyes off of rose for a second. The mom snapped her head to Julian.
"i have an offer rose... this place isn't good for you but, where i live. you will get the best treatment" he said putting his hat back on his head. "would you like to come live with me in promenlay." he held his hand for a moment, Leon looked up at his dad, then to roses mom, then to rose, and what he saw shocked him. Rose had a tear falling from her face as she lightly nodded her head while still looking out the window, darkness washed over half her face as half of a mountain covered the sun. Her moms head perked up as she stood up really quickly.
"Rose!? r-ros no no, you cant possibly be serious!" her mom said rushing over to rose and sitting at her side. "rose, PLEASE ROSE!! YOU CANT PLEASE! YOU ARE ALL I HAVE! YOU CANT LEAVE ME HERE!! PLEASE, DONT LEAVE ME HERE WITH THESES PEOPLE!" her mom yelled crying profusely. Leon hard broke, he stood there with watery eyes. It wasn't just rose who was being treated badly, but her mom too? rose just sat there with an expressionless face and stared out the window, but she still had tears falling from her eyes.
The day after that Leon hadn't seen or heard from rose, not until she came down the stares wearing a pink dress that was right above her knees and a socks that stopped at he knees. her hair was down in a half up half down with a bow clipped on her half up. She had a small caramel colored brief case in her hand, she looked down at him with zero expression, but he still looked back up and smiled.
"R-ROSE H-HI-HEY-HEL-" rose cut him off and chuckled a bit.
"Hi Leon" she said with a smile as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. He smiled and went up to her.
"a-a-are you um," he cleared his throat, "are you okay?" he said nervously.
"yes im doing better than before" she said with a smile, and then looked down with pain in her eyes, but then back up with and grabbed his hand. "w-we should probably go yes?" she said dragging him along to the door , while he plastered his face with a nervous, yet confused smile.
looks like her new life starts today. or tommorrow idk.
