Brunnhilde is busy working through her extremely long to-do list when Loki materializes from nowhere, landing smack dab in the middle of her office.

"I hear you've entered the realm of storytelling," they say, a smirk clear on their face.

Brunnhilde groans. Peering away from the screen, she retorts, "I swear to your mother. If anything even remotely condescending comes out of that mouth, I'm giving Hill full permission to charge you with crimes against humanity."

"Ouch," they reply, slumping in the other office chair, which Brunnhilde did not give them permission to do. Twirling back and forth, they raise their hands and glance judgmentally at the papers piled up on her desk. "Pardon me, for simply congratulating you on your taste in art. Creativity is dead, I see."

"Duly noted."

"Bet you had to take a water break half-way through like a novice."

"Get out."

Loki grins; wide, with an undertone of sneakiness, per usual. "Does family mean nothing?" they goad. "It's a shame. I really thought we were bonding."

"I will stab you."

"Marv will be sad."

"Marv will get over it."

"Uck," they whine, rolling their eyes. "You're no fun anymore," and Brunnhilde rolls hers in return. She's about to kick 'em out- Girls' night is in two hours Louisiana time, and she still has a shit-ton of work to get through before that can happen- but their demeanor isn't matching up with their words.

It's like their heart isn't in it.

"Alright," Brunnhilde says, plopping down a file on property tax and motioning for Loki to get on with it. "Five minutes, what do you want? And no, before you even ask, I'm not going to greenlight a production on Carol and I's love story."

"Oh, Gods no," they quickly reply, hands raised. "I wouldn't do that to her."

"Good."

"But I would like a bit of feedback on something... new."

Brunnhilde leans back in her chair and crosses her legs. "Avenger's Apology Tour III? Come on, dude. It's just overkill, at this point."

Loki doesn't take the bait. They merely cross their arms and look away, peering out the open window to the town below.

It's warm tonight, courtesy of mid- Summer. Even with the late hours, the streets are still busy- a combined product of summer break and overworked parents looking for a more finance-friendly getaway. Brunnhilde can hear giggles from below, a few miscellaneous dogs barking... flerkens puking up expensive weapons, vacationing Midgardians scolding their children...

Speaking of Midgardians, Carol should be back soon. Wonder how they're doing with the salinity issue, Brunnhilde wonders. Dar-Benn said it would only take a few days, but she's been gone a week. Norex is probably losing it at the lack of efficiency-

Loki clears their throat

Brunnhilde is brought back. She blinks, her gaze averting from the window to where her Sibling- in- law is currently glaring at her. "Alright fine, spill it," she says. "I'm listening."

They reply, in just about the softest voice they're capable of: "Asgard."

Brunnhilde sighs.

She motions for them to continue, which they easily do. "I'd like to produce an authentic Asgardian production in old Norse. A tale of our fall, Hela's banishment. Essentially New Asgard's birth from the eyes of the Royal family... it would debut early next year, baring your decision."
