With a low sigh, you unlock your front door, immediately being enveloped by a wave of warm air, instantly melting away the chill from outside. You walked in, setting your bag of snacks on the kitchen counter, the crinkling of the plastic breaking the heavy silence.

For a few seconds, you kept your back to the room, feeling the weight of his gaze on you.

Slowly, you turn around, meeting his big brown eyes, which were already fixed on you. His feet drag closer to you, closing the distance with a kind of careful determination, until he was mere inches away. He placed his hands on either side of you, palms flat against the cool countertop, effectively trapping you in place.

The warmth of his presence was overwhelming, his eyes searching yours, waiting for you to break the silence lingering between you.

He sighed, a soft sound that seemed to acknowledge your hesitance. Gently, he reached for your hand, his fingers intertwining with yours. His touch was warm, grounding you in the moment as he leaned in slightly, his eyes searching for yours for any sign of reciprocation.

"Your hands are freezing Ji. You didn't wear your jacket?" he whispered, head slowly inching down to nuzzle in your neck. He nips at the fading bruise on your neck making you wince at the pain.

"I didn't think I needed it."

You reached up with your free hand, gently guiding his face to look at you. The sight of the fresh bruises and cuts on his face made your heart ache. His eyes softened as he took in the depth of your concern.

His fingers traced light patterns along yours, gripping your hands tighter as if he was afraid of you letting go. "It's not as bad as it looks. The other guy looks worse."

"You always say that."

"Cause it's always true"

You hold eye contact for a few more seconds, letting the unspoken words and emotions pass between you. Slowly, you release your hands from his grip, feeling reluctant to do so. Taking a deep breath, you find yourself feeling both grounded and a bit vulnerable.

Breaking the silence, you offer him a warm smile, hoping to ease any lingering tension. "Are you hungry? I could make you something if you want. I bought those spicy noodles you like, you know the ones with the-"

"I'm fine Jia, I ate before my match." he lets out whilst finally deciding to take a seat on your couch.

A silence lingers between you two before you finally muster the courage to ask the long-anticipated question. "How long are you staying in Seoul this time?"

"2 days" his answer being immediate, knowing that this is the most frequently asked question every time he comes over.

Feeling a wave of sadness wash over you, you can't help but frown. His answer wasn't what you had hoped for, leaving you with a deeper sense of longing and disappointment.

You drag your feet towards the couch, each step feeling heavier than the last. When you finally sit down next to him, the distance between you feels both physical and emotional.

He gently grabs hold of your chin, his touch tender but firm, making you look up at him. His eyes search yours, perhaps looking for a way to bridge the gap created by his response. In that moment, the disappointment in your eyes meets his gaze, and a silent understanding passes between you.

"I promise I'll spend these two days in the city with you. No excuses." His words meant to assure you and ease the sadness that's been lingering.

"I don't want you to feel forced to spend your time here with me kook" you answer foolishly, knowing what he would answer back.

He looks deeply into your eyes and says, "I only come here for you Jia. There's no one else I'd rather spend my time with." Hearing him admit, for the hundredth time, that there's no one else he'd rather spend his time with
brings you a sense of comfort, yet also a deep unease. You've always been aware of Jungkook's feelings for you. Feelings that he's never tried to hide and always expressed openly.

Despite the warmth of his words and the undeniable affection he shows, you feel a sadness knowing that you can't reciprocate his love in the same way. His honesty and the clarity of his emotions contrast sharply with your own feelings, highlighting the gap between you.

You decide to gently set aside the weight of his words and offer him a small smile. It's a quiet gesture of warmth and appreciation, an attempt to navigate the delicate emotional terrain between you.

Jungkook notices the sudden shift in your demeanor and senses your unease. Wanting to ease the tension, he tries to change the subject, his voice brightening as he suggests something new to focus on. But as he's about to speak, he gets caught off guard by your gaze.

That gaze that lets him know you want him. That you missed him while he was gone.

You feel a pang of selfishness as you grapple with the desire for this type of affection from him. Deep down, you know that what you're seeking from Jungkook means so much more to him than it does to you. His feelings are deep and sincere, and the thought of fulfilling a need that's so significant to him, even when your own feelings may not match, brings a sense of guilt.

Yet, Jungkook has made it clear, time and time again, that he doesn't care how unimportant this may feel for you. His repeated reassurances emphasize that his primary concern is mutual comfort and understanding, regardless of how it might impact his own heart. For him, having even a part of you is worth the emotional risk, and he's willing to accept the potential hurt if it means that he can have you in any way.

Despite the unease you feel about the imbalance in your emotions, his unwavering commitment to your mutual satisfaction makes you reconsider your hesitation. His willingness to put aside his own emotional vulnerabilty for the chance to be close to you, even if it's not perfect, underscores a depth of devotion that both comforts and challenges you.

You slowly crawl over to Jungkook's lap, his hands naturally moving to your hips, giving a gentle, possessive touch that intensifies the moment.

Your movements are slow and deliberate, making Jungkook's breath hitch slightly, his eyes darkening as he absorbs the proximity and the sensuality of your actions.

You meet his eyes, your gaze steady and searching, as if silently asking for his consent.

"Are you okay with this kook?" you whisper close to his mouth while making sure to nudge your nose against his.

He doesn't respond but instead leans in and presses his lips to yours. Your eyes flutter close instantly, your heart rate picking up whilst a bubbling heat spreads through your body.

It's like his lips where made to be on top of yours.

His kiss gets needier, one hand on your hip and the other cupping your neck as if he's scared to let you go. He tilts his head to the side to deepen the kiss, a soft muffled sound resounding in your throat.

Out of breath, you pull back and deeply inhale. He's still holding your face, tilting it even more to make you look up at him. "As if I'd ever say no to you."
