Prince Aanay

First meeting

With small silent steps, his feet touching the cold water in the summer, behind a tree he moves his eyes restlessly to find someone.

Suddenly the silent atmosphere breaks, some beautiful fair maidens come to the banks of the river to take water and talk.

Aanay quickly goes inside the river, he swims slowly, when a girl uplifted her saree and went into the water to collect water in her pot, she screamed.

"Ah!"

"What happened?" Asked one maiden, "Something just touched my leg" said Vimala in horror, "What if there is a crocodile in here!" Said Sajani, everyone started screaming, but Vimala couldn't move in terror.

"Help me!" Shouted Vimala,
Aanay inside the water was enjoying this when he heard someone,

"Don't worry Vimala, we come here everyday, I don't think there is any! Let me come and check!" Said she and she slowly slowly came towards the water.

Aanay could clearly see the beautiful fair maiden with black long hair shining like infinite stars.

She stepped inside the water and hold Vimala's hands and pulled her out, that's when she felt someone pulling her inside the water, she screamed.

Vimala also screamed hearing her screaming, Vimala quickly hold her hands and tried to pull her out.

Other girls also joined and tried to pull her but the force on her leg was so intense.

Vimala's hand slipped and they fell on the ground while the girl fell inside the water.

That's when she saw Aanay and said "You were pulling our legs!"

Vimala, Sajani, Vidyavati, Niharika, Chanchala stood up and saw Aanay.

Even if he was good-looking by face that doesn't mean that he will easily get away with this act.

Aanay stood up and was looking at the maiden who has infinite stars in her hair, "Such a beauty" said Aanay, she asked "What?" Then she asked "So you were pulling our legs!" "Why!!" Aanay knew he was in big trouble, all the girls pulled him out the river and questioned him.

Niharika said "He is Aanay, I know him, he is very mischievous!" Sajani said "Even disturbing us maidens"
Vidyavati said "He should be punished!"
Chanchala said "I will report to his mother"

Vimala shouted "Why were you pulling our legs, what kind of thing is that?"

"Don't you have manners?" Asked the girl, Aanay said "I am sorry, I was just playing around, my intention wasn't to disrespect you nor hurting you"

The girls calmed down and said "Okay we forgive you"

The girl said "We are all wet, let's go to home"
Vidyavati said "Yes Ramani you are right, let's go!"

The girls ran and the jiggling sound of their anklets slowly fade.

Aanay said mesmerized "Ramani"
