"OH MY FUCKING DAYS, BRUH."

Tessa yelled out frustrated as she yanked at her younger brother's hair, pulling him back from whatever planet he was on that made him think he could talk to her the way he did. "What the fuck, Tess!" Reece squirmed under his older sister's firm hold, hands flying to his head in fear she'd make him bald in less than 10 minutes. "Don't fucking swear at me, you little shit!" the younger brother frowned at the hypocrisy portrayed by his older sister, flicking her the middle finger in the midst of the chaos. "I told you to wash the dishes before you go and you try to run off to training instead!" 

Still throwing a fit, Reece finally releases himself from his sister's gorilla grip, massaging his scalp immediately. "Fucking hell, Tess. You know the ladies love the hair." he groans, fixing his overgrown mullet in the nearby mirror with a pained face. The older sister rolls her eyes, throwing his boot right in the middle of his back. "I don't care, you little twat. Go and get them dishes done before I smash a plate on your head." Reece arched his body into a C, arm twisting to rub the redness on his back to sooth the pain of the spurs that had dug into his skin. "Fine then." he groaned, dragging his feet across the floorboards towards the kitchen to get the work done. 

A couple of minutes pass and Tess is chilling on the couch in Reece's rugby kit she'd forced him to let her wear, oversized jumper and crocs with socks. She'd probably hit a new record of scrolling on her phone when there's a knock on the glass door. Seeing that she's already in the front, she walks up to open it, a bit stunned when she sees the male in front of her. He's got a short dark mullet that flicks out the back of his cap, rugby shorts and a loose singlet that lets free his toned arms. Tessa doesn't even realise she's been staring until he clears his throat. "Ummm, is this Reece's house?" he asks hesitantly, a nervous smile on his lips as he flashes her his gold tooth. "Uhh, yeah." she answers, leaning against the door frame. 

Tessa cocks a brow, waiting for this man to introduce himself. Just because he knew her little brother's name didn't mean she was going to let him in and invade their space. "Oh, sorry..." he laughs and she rolls her eyes. He's so slow. "I'm Kotoni. I'm picking up Reece for training." the older sister looks over his shoulder to see the black bmw parked in front of their house then back to this 'Kotoni'. "Where's Jordan?" her question seems to catch him off guard and a small twist irks in her gut. "He's in the car, I picked him up too." Kotoni says with a small smirk, shamelessly looking his teammates sister up and down. Tess doesn't miss it, and she also can't deny the butterflies that flutter in her stomach. 

"Who are you talking t—" Reece catches on to the male and he looks taken aback. "He was just saying he's your friend." Tess says, turning to her little brother who had an emotion on his face but it was only but a flash across his features, lips quickly turning into a smile. "Yeah, nah, I know him." says her little brother but she's anything but convinced. Why was he so hesitant? "You ready to go?" Kotoni asks, eyes finally breaking away from Tessa's figure and to the younger male that stood behind her instead, a glint in his eye. "Yeah, I'll just grab my boots and stuff." Reece leaves the two alone yet again and there's nothing but pure silence, both of them looking anywhere but each other. 

The older male finally clears his throat, unable to deal with how awkward the vibe was. "So... do you play any sport?" the question alone is enough to tell her he's nothing but one of those gorillas who's life revolves around the game, which makes her scoff. "Nah. Just support from the side lines." she isn't interested in wherever this conversation is going and he slowly picks up on that, instead studying her features. She has green eyes like Reece, except hers are a little darker and more captivating in a way that makes his heart thunder whenever their gazes meet. Her skin isn't as tanned as her brother's but more on the fair side, hair thick and curly, drawing attention back to her eyes. His inspection comes to a halt when Reece comes back into view, holding a boot bag and other miscellaneous items he may have needed.  

Reece nods at his teammate, passing his older sister with a shove to the shoulder. "I'll see you later, Tess." he mumbles, before flashing a small smile which she happily returns. "Come home straight away, aye?" she warns both her brother and Kotoni, eyes glancing between the both of them. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." The two boys hop into the car and she catches a catches a glimpse of Jordan who eagerly waves as soon as he rolls down the tinted window. "Hi, Tess!" he yells out with a big smile. "Hey, Jordan!" she yelled back with a little giggle. He was always the most adorable out of all of Reece's occasional sleepover friends, super shy and respectful. Until they played COD that is. Once the car finally drives off she returns inside, getting the rest of the housework done before setting her laptop up and doing the rest of the work her job had sent her.

By the time Reece comes back, dinner is hot and ready for them to eat. It's simple tonight, just cheesy ramen noodles and some Frankfurt's on the side, cool beer can's to wash it all down. Opening the door for her brother, her eyes quickly find the black bmw still parked up and feels a little tug at her heart. "Hey, go and ask your friend if he wants some dinner." she says with a little nudge, nodding towards the car in front of their house. Reece clicks his tongue in return, trying to push the idea aside and just chill with his sister by himself. He didn't want any lingering friends tonight because he knew they didn't always come over for his company. "Nah, bro. He's busy." 

Tessa punches his shoulder before walking over to the car herself, knocking on the window to get the guy's attention. Kotoni rolls the window down and smiles, flashing her that signature gold tooth once more. "Did Reece forget something?" he asks considerately, eyes bouncing between her face and her sibling who stood by the door. "Nah, nah. Just wanted to invite you over for some dinner? Reckon you'd be pretty hungry after that 4 hour training." Tess said with a little laugh, tucking her now straightened hair behind her ear to see the male better. Kotoni licks his lips before nodding, unbuckling his belt and exiting the car, grateful she'd even considered having him over. From the car, he can see how Reece's hands clench around his gear before he angrily storms into the house. The feeling he feels in his chest is victorious and a smirk slowly rises to his lips. 

"I hope you don't mind ramen. I'm not the best cook." her words pull him back to Earth as he slowly walks behind her, smile becoming more genuine. "I'll eat anything." Kotoni joked which finally puts a smile on her face and he feels like he's just won a medal. He mentally takes a photo of the moment, studying how her naturally deep dimples show through when her lips spread, pristine teeth lighting up the moment. Before he even knew it, he'd found himself adoring her. Every small thing, like the shape of her acrylics and how she'd always rub her fingers into her palm whenever they talked, every time she'd jokingly wink at him and her immature sibling rivalry with her brother. He'd notice everything. "We'll see about that." Tess said with a snort before leading him towards the kitchen.
