CHAPTER 26: THE DEVIL

The day after Ser Kristan Bale took over the leadership of the AFE, a new crisis erupted. The Noble Houses, rejecting any attempt at diplomatic dialogue, launched a sudden and brutal attack on the Regions of Aegar and Wetris. Explosions rocked the cities, and reports of casualties and destruction poured in. This was no mere skirmish; it was an act of war.

In the early hours of the morning, President Elandria Felora received the grim news. Her face, etched with determination, masked the turmoil within. She knew the gravity of the situation demanded immediate and decisive action. Convening an emergency meeting with the National Security Council (NSC) in the War Room of the Felora'n Palace, she prepared to mobilize the nation for what was to come.

The War Room buzzed with urgent activity. Maps and charts covered the walls, showing the strategic points of attack. The atmosphere was tense, the air thick with anticipation and anxiety. President Felora entered the room, her presence commanding immediate attention.

"We have been attacked," she began, her voice steady and resolute. "The Noble Houses have launched an unprovoked assault on the Regions of Aegar and Wetris. This is an act of insubordination and treason, and it cannot go unanswered. We are now facing our Second Civil War."

General Kristan Bale, standing at the head of the table, nodded grimly. "Madam President, the AFE is ready to respond. Our forces are on high alert, and we can mobilize within hours."

Minister Benedict Ashford of the Ministry of Defense and Security (MDS) added, "We need to secure our borders and protect civilian populations in the affected regions. The NPE and NGE are also prepared to support the AFE in any capacity."

President Felora turned to Police General Gregory Dime, Chief of the National Police of Eldoria (NPE). "General Dime, I need the NPE to maintain order and assist in evacuation and emergency response efforts."

General Dime saluted. "Understood, Madam President. We'll coordinate with local authorities and ensure the safety of our citizens."

Lieutenant General Valiant Nova of the Remdant Capital Police (RCP) spoke up. "We must also be vigilant within the capital. Any sign of dissent or sabotage must be dealt with swiftly."

Commander Hugh Jackson of the Capital and Presidential Defense Coalition (CPDC) added, "Our forces are ready to protect the Felora'n Palace and other key government buildings. We will not let the enemy gain a foothold here in Remdant City."

President Felora looked around the table, her gaze steady and determined. "This is a time for unity and strength. We must stand together against this threat and defend the values we hold dear: justice, fairness, and freedom. Mobilize all necessary forces and prepare for battle. We are going to war."

The members of the NSC responded with a unanimous chorus of assent. Orders were given, strategies discussed, and plans set into motion. As the room emptied, President Felora stood for a moment, looking at the maps and thinking of the days ahead. She knew the cost of war, but she also knew the price of inaction. Eldoria would fight, and Eldoria would prevail.

Outside the War Room, the palace bustled with activity as preparations for war began. Soldiers readied their gear, officers issued commands, and the machinery of the state moved with purpose and urgency. President Felora took a deep breath, steeling herself for the battle to come. She would lead her people through this darkness, and together, they would emerge stronger and more united than ever before.

CHAPTER 27: WAR OF SAPs - THE SECOND ELDORIAN CIVIL WAR

The conflict now known as the War of SAPs had escalated into a full-blown crisis, threatening the very fabric of the newly established and yound Republic of Eldoria. The Ten Noble Houses, clinging to their aristocratic privileges, were determined to secede and establish the Principality of Eldoria. Their betrayal had ignited a second civil war, plunging the nation into chaos and violence once more.
