"I brought a deer," I say while pulling on my transporter," I found it in the forest, I'm assuming it got killed by a wolf." "Okay, then I will leave you be," Queen Mirialla says," I'm sure you want to do this alone?," I nod," Okay, then I will see you tonight. Success," with that she takes off into the sky. I gently place the deer on a soft leftover part of one of the many carpets The Residence used to have and take out my crafts plan.

A few hours had gone by when I finally managed to get the deer's spirit to return to the earth. "I hope you don't mind I used you to practice," I say, the deer looked at me before running off again, I quickly let go of the spell. "Your wrists hurt, don't they love?," I look up but don't see her anywhere. "Oh, great I'm hallucinating," I sigh and rub my face before standing up and getting ready to transport the body of the deer back into the forest where I found it to give it back its rest. "I'm here Wren, come back for me, please? Tonight? One dance...," I look behind me and see her vaguely but only for a second.

The Queen granted me permission to be on The Residence during night time. Usually no-one would be allowed to be here as there could be threats to humans, being here at night, but she asked Guard Morris to fly around the premises and keep an extra eye out in case something went wrong. I had made myself ready, I wanted to look done up just like that night, in hopes it would create the bridge to Death easier. I had difficulty getting a mask Iliana made me once on but it worked out well enough. "In hopes it is enough then," I Whisper to myself before leaving for the ruins.

I tighten Iliana's ribbon a little around my hair, I didn't want to lose it. With a moment to clear my mind I get ready. One hand softly rubbing the ribbon and one hand in front of me I focus on the death energy she left behind, it's strong and calling out for me. She was back here once before, she will be back here tonight.

"Hey," I open my eyes and almost immediately tear up. "You're really here?," I ask. "I am, you did it," she smiles and runs up to me, hugging me. I let out a laugh before hugging her back," I half expected you to just fall through me," I say. "I see you've done yourself up this night?," she says," care for a dance under the stars? You still owe me one," she smiles happily at me. "No, I mean yes, yes let's dance," I say and we hold each other, slowly moving with the quiet wind and the light from the stars around us.

What's wrong?," she asks after a little while," why the sad face?" "There has just been a lot going on here... in the living world," I say. "Like what? Did something happen again?" "No, I mean not exactly," I say," the Queen found an energy and thinks it might be linked to... you know, what happened a little over a year ago?" "Oh, how strange," she says," oh! My turn," she then turns me around a few times before we dance close again," I haven't noticed anything here on this side." "Is there anyone who you could possibly ask? I know this was supposed to be our time but we're really worried...," I say. "I can ask around," she says," we'll have to pin a new meeting here for that then." "Okay, thank you so much," I say.

"You're tired, aren't you?" "A little, yes," I admit. "I don't feel that anymore... but we could just watch the sky? There are stars right?," she offers. "That would be nice yes," I say and we finish our dance, finding a place to settle down for now and we look up, holding each other's hand until the stars fade and the first flush of the morning makes itself known. I look to my side where Iliana was sitting but she was nowhere to be seen. I felt sadness piercing my heart and a few years escaped me before I got up and went to sit in the library.

"Any luck?," I look up to see Queen Mirialla entering the library. "Not much," I say," I mean... no concrete answers but Iliana promised to ask around for anyone to give any useful information. I managed to contact her and we choose our new meeting." "Okay, thank you for doing this," she says, taking place opposite of me," are you doing well?," she then asks," I'm sure this must be incredibly difficult, especially after so much time has passed." "It is difficult, yes," I admit," but I will be fine. The next meeting should be next week, same day, around the same time."

My home was empty and quiet, even though all the books were still crowding all the rooms and music was playing outside, children laughing on the Town's Square. They were most likely dancing to the music street performers provided most days. Usually Iliana would be there too, putting up her puppeteer shows following the music played that day. I miss her, I miss her so much. At home, in the town... She made the days better, she made this house an actual home. I look at the doll she made and put it on our bookcase.

The sun was blinding, bouncing from the white tiles on the Town's Square. The kids were jumping and dancing around with each other, healing better than I did from the previous year. I just watch them for a while before going to the market and then back home.
