A/N:This is the same day as chapter two.
Taylor's POV:
After a couple minutes of Doc McStuffins watching, Ruby had fallen asleep. I pick her up and carry her to my room. I lay her down and go in the bed and lay next to her. I turn on my tv and watch Grey's. "Mommwa?" I hear a quiet voice ask. I look down and see Ruby awake and looking at me. "Mommwa." She says again. She's calling me momma. Oh my gosh. This is the first time she's done that since she has been here. "Good morning sweetheart. Did you sleep good?" I ask. "Yeawh. Cawn we snuggwle?" She says. "Yeah, baby." I say. We snuggle for a while and Ruby starts getting restless. "What do you want to do, princess?" I ask. "Pway." She says. "What do you want to play?" I ask. "Muswic." She says. "Do you want me to play the piano?" I ask. "Yews pwease." She says. I carry her to the music room and set her down. I sit on the piano bench and start to play 'Safe And Sound'. I start to sing the song and I look over at Ruby to see her on the couch, with a blanket and falling asleep. I ended the song and I go over to the couch. Ruby was sound asleep and I was so happy seeing her so peaceful. I quickly walked to my room, grabbed my phone and went back to the music room where I sat on the couch and scrolled on Instagram while watching Ruby to make sure she's okay and that she doesn't have a nightmare. Two hours pass and Ruby is now awake. We ate lunch and she was getting fussy. I took her into the living room and she decided to have a dance party. We're dancing to my songs (A/N: obviously lol) and she picked "Shake It Off" to be the song that we dance to. As I sing along and dance, I hear the doorbell buzz. I pause the music and take Ruby's hand and go to the door. I open it to see a man and woman. I let them in and I see them eyeing Ruby down. Ruby's grip tightens and I realize that the man and woman are the foster parents Ruby was abused by. I pick her up and she buries her head into my shoulder. "Ruby, come on sweetie. Let's go home." The woman finally says. Ruby immediately starts crying as soon as she heard 'home'. I rub her back and start bouncing her. "Ruby will be staying right here with me." I say. "Ruby's our daughter. You can't take her away from us." The woman says. Ruby starts crying harder and I feel so bad. "Ruby was in a hospital, hiding under the staircase, scared of what will happen to her. I saw her and she saw me as her mom." I say, sternly. "Mommwa." Ruby says. "Yes, princess?" I ask. "Pwease down't lewt twhem tawke me." She says. "I won't princess. I promise." I say. "S-she calls you momma?" The woman asks, shocked. "She started calling me momma today." I say. "You really are her mom then." The woman says and I nod. The man and woman go to the front door and leave. "Thewy leawve?" Ruby asks. "Yes, princess. They left." I say. I put Ruby on the couch and start tickling her. Her cute laugh is so sweet. I finally know, she's my baby.
