He was a blossoming talent, someone who inspired others with plays that graced the diamond.
Each pitch that left his mitt was art. Something that couldn't be replicated or replaced, an indescribable feeling which left the spectators in a daze.
Young pitcher Elari Sena was an uprising player, somebody on everyone's radars. Scouts would froth at the mouth if they got the chance to recruit the star...
Blank.
The emptiness in his heart couldn't be cured by dishonesty. The sport he loved dearly had vacated itself overnight, leaving a gaping chasm in his once innocent soul.
Elari Sena had fallen from his throne, his absence being felt greatly throughout middle-school baseball. Scouts could try to recruit the elite, yet their attempts would provide futile results.
His inner circle consisted of his family and his two closest friends; Narumiya Mei and his battery-mate, Manami Kei. Needless to say, he didn't have a lot of friends and most people didn't yearn for his companionship. It was something he had grown used to, the familiar feeling of crushing the spirits of aspiring players.
It began as soon as he joined the club in his first year, a looming sense of loneliness overcoming the prodigy who picked up the sport a little too quickly. Fun sandlot games slowly turned into feelings of resentment and hatred towards the young boy, an 'elite' too good for them. Despite his consistent attempts at making a single baseball friend, he gave up empty-handed.
He wouldn't let something so complicated as friendship interrupt his ambition for superiority, power, striving to be the best team in their region. Maybe he let his ambition get the best of him, maybe that was the beginning of his hatred, his beginning of letting go.
An elite in a public school was a sight for sore eyes, a talent so great going to waste, a kindling flame dwindling to ashen memories.
Elari Sena had fallen from his throne and now you were going to experience his story. From one of the greats to a forgotten teenager, how will Sawamura Eijun and the rest of Seidou impact his life for the better or for the worse?
