Hannah's pov

I waited anxiously for a reply, my mind filled with doubts. Maybe he was already asleep. Maybe I had just made a fool of myself. But just as I was about to put down my phone and call it a night when my phone buzzed with a notification.

*Lucas is typing...*

I held my breath as I watched the dots dance on my screen, waiting for his response. When the message finally popped up on my screen, my heart skipped a beat. "Hey, still awake. What's up?"

I felt a rush of relief and excitement, a smile tugging at the corners of my lips. Maybe I wasn't crazy to text him after all.

"Thinking about you..." I sent the message before I could chicken out. I waited for his response, my mind filled with anticipation. Maybe I was being too upfront, but I couldn't deny the truth. The thought of him was consuming my mind right now.

Minutes passed, which felt like hours to my anxious mind. Then my phone buzzed again.

This time, his reply came almost instantly. "Thinking about me, huh? I like the sound of that."

I could practically hear the smirk in his words. My heart skipped a beat, and a smile spread across my face. I couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement. His response was exactly what I had hoped for. I quickly typed a reply, my fingers still a bit shaky.

"Can you blame me? You're kind of hard to forget, you know."

I hit send and then held my breath, my heart thudding in my chest. What was I even saying? But before I could think too much, his reply popped up on my screen.

"I'm flattered. I have to admit, I've been thinking about you too." The words on my screen sent a warm shiver down my spine. Lucas was thinking about my too. I wasn't alone in this. A wave of relief washed over my, and my smile grew wider. I quickly typed another message, my fingers dancing across the keyboard.

"Really?" I asked, a hint of playfulness in my words. "What exactly have you been thinking about?" I bit my lip as I sent the message, waiting for his response. The thought of him thinking about my in any way made my heart beat faster.

His response came in a few seconds.

"Just your pretty smile, the way you laugh, the way you look at me..." My cheeks flushed at his words. He had been paying attention to me, noticing the little things. The realization made me feel giddy with excitement.

"Glad I caught your attention," I typed back, a cheeky grin on my face. I was getting more comfortable, my nerves replaced by a growing confidence.

"But I'm curious...is it just the way I look, or is there something else you've been thinking about?" His reply was almost immediate.

"Oh, there's definitely more than just your looks... but I'd rather show you instead of telling you." Hannah's heart skipped a beat as I read his words. There was a hint of intimacy in his message that made my body tingle. I took a deep breath, trying to steady myself. My mind was racing with a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

"Is that so?" I typed back, hoping my message came across as confident instead of shaky.

"And when exactly are you planning to 'show' me?"

"Eager, are we?" he texted back, a hint of teasing in his words. "Patience, sweetheart." I couldn't help the smile that tugged at my lips.

"You can't blame me for being eager. You've got me all worked up now," I typed back.

"Good to know I have that effect on you," he replied, his words making my heart flutter.

I bit my lip, my chest feeling warm and fluttery. "You have no idea," I typed back, my fingers trembling a bit.

"I think I have some idea," he responded, his words laced with a hint of mischief. "But I'd love to know more. Can I ask you something?"

"Of course, ask me anything," I typed, eager to hear what he had to say.

He replied after a moment

"Can I take you out on a proper date sometime soon?"

My heart thumped in my chest as I read his message. I had been hoping for this moment for a while now, but it still made me feel a mixture of excitement and nervousness.

I took a deep breath and typed my reply quickly, my fingers shaking a little bit.

"Absolutely", I replied with a huge grin split across my face.

"Perfect. How does Friday night work for you?"

"Friday night is perfect." I typed back.
