"Why did you 𝒌𝒊𝒔𝒔 me?" I, again, throw a very troubled question towards him.
...
"I was doing you a favour there." His countenance suddenly changes as a playful smirk plasters on his face.
"You should consider yourself 𝒍𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒚..."
"Because ma...
Not dating or wanting to be in a relationship is... Um...
"Where did you get that juicy piece of information from, hmm?" He hoists his brows looking at me, still grinning.
"I- from Aubrey? She said you were her boyfriend??" I purse my lips, uncontrollably shifting my gaze around out of nervousness.
He heaves out a sigh.
"So that was why you were mad at me?"
"Because you thought I had a girlfriend?"
"Were you..."
"Jealous?" He locks my gaze and I hurriedly avert mine away, sensing my cheeks flaming.
"What-"
"No!" I exclaim loudly, unintentionally drawing the attention of two pedestrians walking besides us.
Jeez, calm yourself Rosalie, try to stay cool okay? There's nothing more suspicious than getting enraged by one silly trivial question.
There's no need for such moody a reply when you have nothing to worry about, right?
Right...?
Hold on...
I'm definitely not jealous, am I?
...
"I..." I clear my throat, putting in an effort to clear the tense air, igniting my brain's ability to form some rational replies so that I will be less embarrassed with myself.
"I just..." I squeeze my eyes, thinking hard.
"I don't like it."
"When you... You..."
"When I...?" He expresses his curiosity.
"Um..." I stare at the floor helplessly.
Come on brain, help your girl out.
"I just don't like it when you..."
...
"Used me to cheat on your supposed girlfriend." I finally turn over and reply in a sarcastic and irritated tone, stressing some words in the process to underline my frustration.
"I don't want to be caught in between."
"It's just..."
"Not nice." I glare at him, hoping that he will leave me in peace.
...
"Fair enough." He shrugs before coming to a stop in a secluded parking lot.
He gently puts me down, placing me steadily on my feet and I slowly remove my hand from his shoulder with a muddled mind.
So that's it? He's... He's not going to mess with me anymore?
My jaws drop when my wandering gaze meets the vehicle in front of us.
