Chapter 1 : A Second Chance

"Mom......when I grow up I promise I will always be by your side to protect you and nobody can come harm you. I will bring you all the wealth in the world."
A 10 year old Terrence made a promise to his mom, Victoria Everhart,who was the head of the Everhart clan, chosen after he husband died.
"Okay now my boy don't play too rough okay and watch yourself well" Victoria said to his son. Go now, Ami is waiting for you outside. Terrence rushed outside to play with his friend.
"Yaaayyyyy Terrence will grow up and marry me and ride me around town like this" Ami said while sitting behind Terrence on his bicycle. "Let's promise each other..that no matter where we find ourselves, we will always be together and nothing can stop us" Terrence said with a shy look. Ami pegged his cheek and they both crossed their little fingers as a sign of their promise.

Deep in the night noises wake up Victoria and her maid comes in to call her that there's a dispute outside
"Why should a woman rule one of the strongest clans in all of Genorah, her husband was and so what? We need a potential man","yes!! We deserve to be ruled by someone capable" The protests of men were echoing outside the mansion on the compounds.

"To what do I owe you gentleman this unpleasant visit, surely you're not planning on a coupe are you? Or have you forgotten why they call me the Ruthless Mistress?" Victoria's voice stung like a queen bee's bite unto the men. Victoria was known to be the first and most Ruthless Clan leaders amongst all the five clans. Chopped the heads of her enemies without hesitation and went to which ever extent to ensure her clan and little boy was safe.

"Victoria......you forget your place" a large army of soldiers began to troop into the compound and the clouds burst and poured down heavy rains as the mysterious man spoke with his head facing the ground." I'm not just stepping on the tiger's foot..... I'm cutting it's head off" The man raised his head and Victoria was set aback with a shot
She said in surprise "you..... He killed you .....how are you?"
"Don't worry Vicky..... Your husband saw me last..... before I plucked out his heart" The mysterious man said in a sinister voice.
"Guards....shoot this men down right now!"Victoria exclaimed. To her surprise her guards had their guns pointing at her as well.

"Kill me today and an even ruthless Monster in the jungle will hunt you down and stop at nothing until your head rolls on the ground as well as your whole clans'!!" Victoria exclaimed. She turned back and saw her son watch her through the window. She gave a smile and closed her eyes. Terrence closed his eyes as he heard gunshots. When it was over the men scattered through the whole clan compound and began to gun down each and every one of the men, women, children. They poured gasoline around every inch of the whole land.
"With this, my revenge is complete" the man said while holding a lighter in his hand.
He threw the lighter and watched the whole place burn to the ground.

As their choppers left, Terrence lied by his mother's body trying to do what he could to save her "Save your strength my son" she said in pain "Grow up to be a fine man and hunt them all down....show no mercy" with her last breath...she gave Terrence a kiss on the forehead and passed on. Terrence wailed as Loud as he could but it wouldn't bring his mother back.

Day light broke and men from the special force came to scout the area. Everyone was dead, everyone.... All except for Terrence. Although barely hanging on to life like he held his mother's pendant, his will to live on stood stronger.... He had a promise to fulfill and this was his second chance at that.
