~The Night She Lost it All~
At the time, Nameless was 6. Which was only 2 years the schools attack. What she didn't know was there her father was next. It started out like it was like any other night. Nameless was out late, searching for Robbie even though he was almost gone for 2 years now. She was walking by a warehouse, one that the construction core was rebuilding due to the structures decay. She stares up at the top, looking up at the bare steel, being chilled by the air, like dry ice was right on top of the entire building. As she walked away someone threw a kuni right next to the left side of her face, she dodged on instinct and turned around, seeing a drunken man. Not just any man, he was an ex assassin. But how would she know, she never met and assassin hell no one has seen them since the war. As he pins her she screams. He gags her, but doesn't see the enraged shadow arriving. Her father. Lawrence Ever-Flame. He grabbed the man back the back of his neck and threw him violently into the structures steel beams.
The man fell back with red blood steaming off the ice cold steel that now was matching his body temperature of the cold steel. He helps Nameless up almost immediately, "Honey what are you doing out this late and around this place?!" her father worriedly asked. Nameless couldn't speak. She couldn't react. Her father just laid a guy out so fast and brutally that she couldn't even realize that someone was slowly sneaking behind her father till it was to late.
"DAD BEHIND YOU!" She screamed as the man behind her father, covered in a face mask and hood lifted a huge axe over his head. Lawrence grabs Nameless himself and rushed up on top the cold metal beams. She watched as the ground that she once roamed grew smaller and smaller. A bird flew by her head chirping lowly. Nameless watched as she was placed onto an elevator system. Her father taking the remote and shutting the door, essentially making the elevator into a cage that can help her escape. Lawrence worked fast while Nameless kept asking questions,
"Dad! What's going on?! Why are guys coming to kill us?!" Lawrence did not answer his frantic daughter, as he shut the elevator door, tied one chain on the top of the door, middle of the door, and bottom of the door. After he heard a thud behind him, signifying that the large man in the hood and mask, carrying the axe finally caught up. He looked directly at Nameless.
"No matter what happens, I want you to know that I love you, I love everything that makes you. What ever happens-."
He slowly turned to the big burly man with the axe, glaring like he was death itself. The man seemed to get into a position, as if ready for Lawrences every move. Lawrence knew that me being in this situation was bad enough, but being his daughter was even worse if he remained alive. Nameless would be a living target for the rest of her life. He didn't want that for his only child. Who already lost her best friend to the same men.
He knew that HIS foot soldiers wouldn't stop till Lawrences little girl was theirs to sculpt. He wouldn't let that happen. Not now. Not ever.
The man attacks with is axe first, which to Lawrence was an easy dodge, he punched the man square in the jaw, it didn't just crack it was tore off his body. As the crimson gold spilled from the mans face, his flesh and arteries were shining in the moon light. Allowing all the blood to be seen in its red gory glory.
As the big burly stumbled a bit before falling off the left side of the beam, hitting five beams diagonally before splatting like a piece of red paint on a blank canvas of concrete. Lawrence check on Nameless first, she was shaking horribly. "Daddy? Why did they do that? why did they try to hurt us?" Lawrence couldn't answer, his daughter, his only child, he couldn't answer her about the truth. About her mother, about everything.
As he held the remote, a man in battle armor, a jacket, bullet-proof vests, and different pouches Velcro onto the abdomen of the man. He was surrounded by red with black accented while the man standing was all black with red accents. A distorted, electronic voice came out from the helmet.
"You wont get far Shadow Killer." Lawrence picked up the large axe, and pushed the button for the elevator to take Nameless up.
"FATHER!" was all she managed to scream out, as the elevator took her up, watching as her father threw the remote hard, making it shatter like glass, upon the ground. She was crying hard, through her tears she watched as he held up a device, a remote detonator. Once Nameless's elevator reached dry land, her fathers best friend Foreman Mendors.
